Title: Just some minor suggestions
Post by: Istaryu on February 10, 2015, 04:32:11 am
Hey! Here are some suggestions, which would make gameplay a bit smoother:

Increase Andenaj's proc rate. It is horribly low at the moment, I can stack a francisca to full in 10 mins while andenaj is at 150/750. Also I didn't get all the stacks in ch4, despite i killed everything.

Make the stat that allows to go over the chapter's max lvl a shared stat. It is just annoying and time consuming to keep swapping  Mega/Giga/Tera ring and Ring of Wisdom and grind monsters for the extra levels. For example I spent 20 minutes at the kraken boss killing the bugs and tentacles just to get those extra levels.

Ok.

Mm... I don't know.

I hear there isn't supposed to be any grinding in this game. Anyway, going beyond max level is only meaningful in the last chapter, and maybe 9 for Yurgimar. I think I would only use that if it was really shared. As for Andenaj, I never had this kind of problem. Maybe you're killing them too fast? The health increases only if it is you, who gets hit.

ah hey, about Andenaj , can you plz put 1 Orb of Nature in shop somewhere? then I can make another Andenaj II. And about going beyond the max lvl, I can't buy Energy Orb and Power Orb in ch.5, is that normal?

Exactly, this game is not about grinding, but enjoying the game itself, and these little things can be very frustrating. (Like gems had something like 3 min cooldown)

For Andenaj it is very easy to max the HP you just put it on a guy you just put all your Andenaj components on at once i.e. Jewel of Health, I, II or III, some other tanky items but no extra magic. Then fight something with a bunch of HP avoid hitting it at all and stand there take hits, heal as necessary. Eventually you will get all your stacks, if you have aura of fire it might take more than 1 guy that's why I minimize magic damage while doing this :P

Once all are maxed but desired items back in their box until the next chapter ;) I only found it funny that the items are global limit rather than some per character limit, and mostly for RP reasons not balance.

And for the rings of + level it's a little weird but I think you just need to have it on your toon the first time you go over max level then just pass it off and you can keep going up to the new max without wearing the ring.

This game is not about grinding, but it has items that a power gamer can grind if he thinks it's fun! I like that, you don't need them but you can get a little extra if you want to game the system!

Aero has done an amazing job, yes not every item is viable, but that's ok! I feels epic when you get new things and it's fun to build up, I only wish the synth items kept accumulating after chpt 7 rather than just completing the ones you still need zozi's and gold for :)

Here's one I would love to see.. -skip button for auction house!
After my 10000th play-through it has become a bit tedious to sit here for 30 mins collecting all items
It would be awesome to have a -skip for items I don't need to speed up the process.
I understand however that this would probably be hard to implement so no biggie if its not possible.

You can just press Esc after seeing the 1st price and choose to leave, then you come again for next item.

Hey, sorry for barging in. I just came over here and thinking maybe this thread could be the one and only official post-complete feedback thread for TCO... Just saying :)

In all honesty more replay value must be created.
Why replay value? Because replay value = book value. That is also why i suggest someone create a sequel to TCO Campaign.

How do we create that precious replay value?
With Ultimate Difficulty!
What makes it ultimate (as it's name suggests) is in addition to **** mode no extra life, enemies have even more health and damage every time ultimate playthrough clear! For example :
1st ultimate playthrough : +150% damage, +300% health
2nd ultimate playthrough : +165% damage, +330% health
3rd ultimate playthrough : +180% damage, +360% health

Finishing ultimate difficulty for the first time gave you 3 rewards which also adds lore value and gave hints for TCO's sequel!
Note : these items are just my suggestions!

*Protector of Balgaron sounded nicer
**Name subject to change

For every subsequent clear, the upgradeable property of ultimate items increases.
I.e after 2 ultimate clears, Protector of Balgaron gives 10 armor aura and after 3 ultimate clears, Protector of Balgaron gives 15 armor aura.

Further suggestion :
1. Ultimate items are carried to TCO Campaign's sequel regardless of the upgrade level.
2. Upgrade levels are not carried over! Get a life mates!
3. Unlocks another "Did You Know" secret ultimate item that gives hint about the next sequel's plot after X upgrade level (and no, just no! Anyone who unlocks this shouldn't spoil this considering how hard the effort is!). Secret ultimate item could be carried over.
