Competition Idea

In this competition you're challenged to update the existing item set Holgro. Holgro is an item set with three pieces which can can be obtained from chapter 7. Create for the set new stats and a new special thing which makes it unique from all other items. Each piece must have a special thing and when the set is completed all the special things will melt together nicely.


Hints

    • This is a chapter 7 item set which is obtained from a quest.
    • The set has three pieces.
    • Each peace should have a special thing.
    • You don't need to find an icon.

    Competition Rules

      • The idea have to be yours.
      • You can make unlimited amount of entries.
      • I will have all the rights to edit the rules(I will do it correctly and I will be fair for everyone).



      Competition Prizes

      The winner of this competition will have his or her name to Hall Of Fame and will be credited as "Competition Winners" and "Idea Giver". If you have one more than once you'll be credited automatically as "Great Idea Giver". Also any other ideas that I'll use will be credited as "Idea Giver".


      Judging

      I'm the only one who will judge the winner of the competition. I will judge all entries. The amount of entries you post will not decrease your chance to win in any way. However, if there are a lot of entries or horrible entries, I'll have the right to kick some of them away in order to make the final judge easier for me.

      This is the order how I judge:

        • Is your idea creative and fresh?
        • Can I possibly create your idea?
        • The presentation?



        Deadline

        The competition begins immediately and conclude at 24.4.2012 or when there are enough entries.

        Actually this competition is still active as I have not found myself a good special thing for the item set.

        I'll try :)

        Holgro Part 1
        For every 10 hits received, a shield will be applied to the hero which absorbs all incoming damage. The shield lasts for either 5 hits or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.

        Holgro Part 2
        For every 15 hits dealt, the hero will start dealing double damage. This lasts for 5 hits or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.

        Holgro Part 3
        For every 5 spells cast, the hero will cast spells without the need for mana. This lasts for 3 spells or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.

        Full Holgro
        For every 10 hits received, a shield will be applied to the hero which absorbs all incoming damage. The shield lasts for either 5 hits or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.
        For every 15 hits dealt, the hero will start dealing double damage. This lasts for 5 hits or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.
        For every 5 spells cast, the hero will cast spells without the need for mana. This lasts for 3 spells or 10 seconds, then the counter resets.
        If two buffs are active at the same time, the hero will generate an aura that deals damage periodically (every 0.5 second) for 20 seconds.
        If all three buffs are active at the same time, the hero becomes invulnerable, deals double damage, and can freely cast spells without the need for mana for 20 seconds.

        Extra: Maybe make the hero change colour according the which buffs are activated. The first three parts will turn the hero red, yellow and blue respectively. If the hero for example has both red and blue buffs, the hero turns orange. If the hero has all three buffs, the hero turns black.

        Part of Holgro 1
        -All Stats 25
        When actived and enemy use spell (single target spell) to the wielder, the enemy will receive the same ammount of damage{or maybe backfire to enemy..?}. Cooldown 25 sec

        Part of Holgro 2
        -Magic Damage 300
        -Magic Resistance 10%
        Each 1% mana missing, gain 30 magic damage

        Part of Holgro 3
        -Evasion 8%
        -Luck 4
        Each 10% health missing, gain 4% magic resistance
        ---
        Holgro
        -All Stats 25
        -Magic Damage 300
        -Magic Resistance 10%
        -Evasion 8%
        -Luck 4

        above suggestion will give a very weak item overall so numbers should be tweaked/improved. Also the item should improve when the full set comes together IMO.

        Otherwise a very very good suggestion for a magic-based item! Nice ideas. But the fact that it encourages low mana/hp... not good IMO.

        Wow above suggestion is abit too overpowered IMHO; this set could beat many other sets than can only be obtainable in later chapters... And I dont see what is so unique about each item, other than the passive aura. What do you think, aero?

        Here we go

         Holgro part-1
        +20 All stats
        when the wielder is attacked there is 20% chance to return 100% damage(physical) to attacker. this effect last for 2 seconds

        Holgro part -2
        +20 stats
        there is 20% chance to get 100% life steal on attacks, this effect can last for 2 seconds

        Holgro part - 3
        +20 stats
        on casting there is 20% chance to reduce nearby enemy's attack & movement speed by 100% for 3 seconds/20% chance to double the effect of spell(does work with ultimates)


        The parts are obtainable in chapter 7,8,9 & player will have the choice to select which part they want in current chapter.

        AND, if holgro(all parts) has to be obtained in chapter 7, then the item will be like this:-

        Holgro part-1
        +15 stats
        when the wielder is attacked there is 10% chance to return 100% damage(physical) to attacker.

        Holgro part-2
        +15 stats
        there is 10% chance to get 100% life steal on attacks.

        Holgro part-3
        +15 stats
        On casting spells there is 10% chance to double the effect of spell(doesn't work with ultimates) ;D

        Mmm... I took the ideas down and did create a few.

        But now it's too late for competitions as the campaign is nearly done.
