Bug & Balance / Combat kings kill me
« Last post by therandomemu on July 23, 2019, 03:45:55 pm »
So I just downloaded TCO, and after going through the introduction and starting chapter 1, I see the combat kings in my inventory. They have a cost of 250 mana for some reason, so I level up until I have enough to use them, and when I click on the combat king in my inventory, my armor becomes invulnerable, and I start exploding, taking damage, and then i die. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this or what might be going on? This might not even be a bug and I'm just screwing something up.

Also, I am able to use them when they are in the boxes, but then the combat kings dont appear in my combat kings tab.

Hi there and welcome,

in order to kill the golems for good, you need to burn all of their mana.
You can do so in several ways, for example by having the mana burn combat king on your characters. Some items too burn mana, one of Galeoth's set (can't remember which one exactly) do so on every attack, and I think there should be some items that steal or burn mana on activation available for chapter 8. If i remember correctly even Rikhano'set should do.
After you complete the quest if you have the animal set you can improve it by clicking on the troll leader. The improved version is not bad at all actually.

Heroic Achievements / Normal Completed

Gameboard:
Spoiler (hover to show)

I know its just normal difficulty but I'm proud that I finished one of the greatest campaigns created on Warcraft. I finished the game for the first time without give-ups so you can ignore that one bugged give-up count. I had the hardest time with Yurgimar and Zylcious and I've unlocked only 3 heroic achievements since I killed Xada too early in his first form and I didn't kill Uummut. Besides that, I've unlocked the good ending (your morality must be above 0, -1 and below will give the bad one) for Phodom. I have picked the 40 honor reward and the master alchemist perk. I'm planning to replay the whole game on the next difficulty but I also plan to take a bit of a break.

Here's my item and spell lists for my three characters during the Zylcious & Xvareon fight. The items below made it possible for me to defeat Xvareon from stages 1 - 4 in under 5 minutes.

I Would Like To Ask For Help From Any Pro Gamers And Maybe I Can Also Help Them In Return! I Have Also Found A Lot of Glitches And Bugs And I Will Report It When Someone Helps Me With My Problem! I Thank You In Advance! That Is All

Butcher's set+Destiny is the core, and doesn't even need a give up to pull off (Destiny can be obtained from chapter 10 lucky box with 0 luck). Of course using Oelivert makes it much much easier. Then you have Sword of haste of course which helps you also with ramping up the damage.
As i found recently Family picture from Phodom starter pack would be way better then Leviathan armour in a similar fashion (I never picked that item so i had no idea it can be activated to DOUBLE your attack speed, which is crazy).
I suggest to buy Life earring too from chapter 7 to gain an additional 400 life regen in chapter 10, then jewel of health, Andenaj I, II and III (II into III in chapter 7 also) and Francisca.
In the Zylcious fight I farmed the damage on Zylcious first form for some minutes, since he's immortal until you deplete his mana, then you cut through death knights and even Super Ummuut in a few minutes.
Of course you need to hit Fradz with Galeoth from time to time in order to keep the bonus when you can't hit anything with Fradz himself (and that's the reason you see he has no mana in the picture). You may need to have Sargatanas or maybe just Oricalchon equipped on Galeoth though, no idea why.
Of course Galeoth and Phodom serve the only purpose to support Fradz with buffs such as Zocmo's aura or debuffs (Doom Helmet from chapter 6 decreases enemies armour by 10, Santoryou does basically the same and so on).
Fradz's healing spell is actually bugged, I picked it just for testing, so blessing of lightning is still the better choice there. Not a big deal anyways.
I even discovered a new bug, i believe, I don't know if it's specific to this build.
When you reach 110k damage more or less, the game brings you back to like 10k. I checked the multiboard and Fradz Health Regen was still 110.000 or so, and should be always equal to his damage thanks to destiny...
Of course we have no way to check if this is always the case since this build is the only one capable to reach this amount of damage as far as I know.

Do you have a save file with lots of Game Points and Honor maybe? I really wanna replay for the Interludes and try on ****, couldnt find a saved file anywhere and not in the mood to start afresh.

The picture speaks for itself... it feels good to kill Zylcious Dragon form in a few minutes.
Extreme difficulty (actually none of my heroes died once) + give-up (not necessary, but it would take a lot more time to pull this off without it)
I cut the picture on purpose to see if someone knows how to reach this amount of raw damage, I discovered this casually on one of my many playthrough.

p.s. Aero pls update your campaign :D It's one of the best thing i've ever played. At least it would be nice if you could fix the summoner amulet bug (it applies to enemies too making it a great Ultra-extreme item if you like the challenge), so I could actually try a proper summoner build.
