Few things I would like to say.

1st. Although having loads of gold from Give Ups makes things easy, that's no surprise it's intended to have that effect.

2nd. For the normal player the fights are correctly balanced, and even with all the items in later chapters some of the fights are challenging due to mechanics.

3rd. I think the current monster grinding is implemented perfectly. It gives you close control over gold flow/xp while making traveling in the zone efficient when you are at the stage of just buying and finishing snth items you will need to combat the difficult bosses. Also the RP makes sense, I like the feel of "cleaning up" an area. Please don't incorporate respawns.

Potions work perfectly as is.

They make sense, potions in all games are only effective if you have potions that are of a decent quality.

Removing them will make beating the elite and epic bosses in chapter 1 all but impossible if you haven't used Give Up. Other chapters are affected as well but that one comes to mind first.

Making potions so strong throughout, ruins the RP element and makes valuation... awkward at best.

I actually think chapter 2 is amazing as is. For anyone who played Chapter 1, you quickly learn that it's very important to scavenge and acquire items; those who do that in Chapter 2 tend to do very well.

Has anyone ever just done the main quests in Chapter 2 on their 1st playthrough??

First off let me say, the fundamental concept of setting up a FB page to bring more people to check out the campaign isn't a bad one. But in this case I think the Hive Workshop brings a lot more people.

In regards to FB, first off let me say I completely understand what you mean AS I too am no fan of FB. However, I see the advantages of having a page there, especially for the various game offers. What did I do? I setup an FB page with no info about me besides a picture and maybe my birthday! Do I ever use it, not Very often.

Shin, to track down who setup that page he merely followed the link to m'asia gamer clicked info and noticed wsaww's name as part of a URL the guy listed as his webpage. Certainly a simple thing to do :)

The main thing with the internet is consider what information will get out and who will get it, AS couldn't be more correct that it's probably not a great idea to have such a large database of information on people accessible to people like the Government. (The less they know the better!) That being said, if you aren't concerned with how people may be able track you down for God only knows what reasons, feel free to keep posting there and every other site, after all there are certainly some social advantages :)

How on earth did this thread get started??? Magic Balls are the be all and end all, 1 stop for ownage, for every caster/healer in the game! I always stack about 6 Greater Magic Balls and toss them on my Caster giving him an extra 3k magic power!

The question in my mind isn't do people use them, but should they be around since they are the only item that can offer near limitless power in 1 item slot?

I think his idea in concept isn't bad. You could make 1 very powerful item that can only be acquired as a good aligned person, and conversely make 1 item that would only be acquired as an evil aligned person. This would have to be a usable endgame item (Probably acquired near the end of chapter 9, so that you will have use of it for basically 1 whole chapter.) It should be badass, maybe on the order of a legendary item that is a little complex for the player to put together, but will be a contender for the best item in the game for the character it's designed for.

I am happy to see how the project is progressing :) And I like the new font it's stylish!  So whats the current estimated release for the Chapter, anther 2 weeks?

Also how is the remaking of Chapter 3 going, that was what you decided to work on this chapter right?

I like the current interface much better. For 2 reasons 1 the style of the current one is nicer, it seems to be a combination of little gems and the sort of blady combat style surrounding the mini-map.

The other thing I don't like about the new interface is there is a deformity right above your six items there is a spot with some extra black that doesn't go there.

Critical damage works a little differently as I think it's run entirely by triggers and variables. I presume it makes attacks do double damage, but I am with you that the red number with the ! after it is cooler.

So Aero can you make it display that animation?
