I don't post anymore, except for this one. But I'm still really surprised you are still making this to be honest. It's really a really wonderful mod but repeating back from the start for each version just got a bit reptetive for me, although I've been sneaking a few versions here and their. Trying out the hardest difficulty you let us play it at.

It's always nice I think to have some people atleast appreciate your work and tell you about it. So here I am again to say thanks!

- You don't click much people, some might give you reward(click Birgitta at the beginning, you might be suprised).
Isn't Birgitta the one who gives the Murloc quest? I remember that in 3.3a, but now she has been replaced by Nathalie. Who dissapears also when I complete the quest (didn't watch the cutscene). I'll have a look around more if I'm wrong.

Why do you exactly use toggle view and what is its function?
I never used it.
Try it out, you should be in the default mode where it shows the code. So make a word with the color red, and click the button on the top right. Its sort of like a preview.

I'm sure the Hiveworkshop will be of great assistance. Your campaign is very well liked there, and their will be plently of eager people out their to help you out. Especially since you have renewed your vigor into the campaign! Have u even said anything on it? I don't think many of the people know your back in action.  ;D

Walkthroughs & Strategies / TCO 1.3beta Walkthrough (Difficulty: Extreme)
« on: November 07, 2010, 05:09:16 pm »
+ I am glad Aero has continued his project and I am very happy to make another walkthrough for it! +

+ Please add a music command for the music in the "Prologue". Its amazing and I didn't even want to start the campaign because of it! +

+ You seem to have removed the "Quest" containing commands that was in older versions. I can't see a way to easily find them except stumble on them from the Control Panel. +

++++TCO 1.3b Bug List++++
1) The starting packs, some of them have spelling errors and inconsistences. I think Fradz starting weapon/armor pack had cheese spelled wrong in armor. And the lives has extra info in the weapon, but not the armor.
2) The "1" and "6" Phodom boxes overlap themselves whenever I use the spell/command to bring them to me.
3) Sir Richard obviously has something that he shoudn't have!? The description in his "attack type" (Ex: Chaos, Hero, Norm, Pierce) is amusing, especially the human child portrait it has.
4) Sir Richard's armor "Invulnerable" still has the same description that it had from "normal" that could use a clean-up.
5) The descriptions on "Treasure Hunter", "Alchemist" and "Battle Thief" have alot of grammar mistakes and the english could use a clean-up. It would also be nice if you could swap "Alchemist" and "Battle Thief" hotkey around, it would be more logical that way.
6) Miragi's Ring seems to have a instant mana effect (It procs alot also when I smash baddies). I vaguely remember this belonging to one of the other sets or pieces. But I dont see this effect at all in the description. "Increases the hero's mana regeneration by 2 / second and the Intelligence of the hero by 4."
7) Kills done by passive proc Magic Orb 1 (And possibly others; Silver Set, etc...) don't count towards the increased damage for Power Hammer.
8) I'm not sure if this is intentional but Phodom's Area Attack skill will have a large aggro AOE when it procs. I find it very usefull, but just asking.
9) In the Chapter Selection of 1.3b. The names don't match what the loading screens are. Doing the same technique you used for the old loading screens would work well enough for the new ones.

Chapter 0 - Prologue

Their is some Credits, FAQ and How to Play. If your a pro or impatient, start a new game.

The skill build you choose is your choice. These are the ones I chose.

Difficulty: Extreme (So all of you can expect the best and worst from TCO, and reap the benefits!)

Once your done, start the campaign and wait a extremely long load time. If you have played any of the older versions of TCO like 3.3a. I would reccomend skipping most of the cinematics.

Chapter 1 - Plans Always Change

Warning: You must have atleast 250 Gold Pieces to complete this chapter!!
Notice: Since I'm playing on the difficulty "Extreme" my guide will be for people who play on Extreme. As the other lower difficultys are much easier and you don't have to be as carefull with who you fight, and how you fight. Please note anything that might be written in this walkthrough may not partically be the same for a lower difficulty.

Warning: Save OFTEN! Its very unforgiving to die and realize u have not saved!

Note: Clicking your wife will give u a Boots of Speed! I find this very amusing, so I suggest you click anybody and everybody for goodies!

Yes, plans. The best laid out plans always change, its their nature. And your plan has just had a slight change of plans, so to speak. Your funds have dwindled to a near 0, your family will starve without food. It is your duty to wear your extravegent armor and hammer to kill and plunder for your 250 Gold Pieces.

As you start out, select your hero and access your Control Panel[R] -> Basic Commands[Q]. You want to take notice of the Meditate Skill [W] and Move Boxes [E]. Using meditate to quickly bring up your health and mana is vital since you don't want to waste to much cash on potions. The boxes are also very important because you will collect alot of items on your journey that you may want for later instead of deciding which item to keep or throw away. (Note: Using the "-p" command, which is in the description. Will also bring your boxes to you for quick access!)

To point out 2 more things. You have professions accessible to Phodom. You currently have the ability to use "Dig" and "Alchemy". Their are certains spots (Blight) in this campaign that will have treasures. But not all of them can be easily accessible, you need Dig Power to dig up items that Aero has so kindly (We wana strangle you I mean ::) >:( ) implemented. If you go to Control Panel[R] -> Treasure Hunter[Z], you will see what is required for more Dig Power. To actually dig up a item, position Phodom over the blight (Generally around the center, as you gotta be withen a certain distance for this to work) and do Dig[E]. You will either get the item or get a message saying you need more dig power.

Your other profession is Alchemy. Control Panel[R] -> Alchemist[C] to bring up your Alchemy spellbook. You will not be able to make any specific potions right now, but you are able to make random potions, and gain Alchemist skill points to gain access to a greater variety of potions. The materials will have to be either bought or picked up from the ground. I have tried making as much potions as I could near the end of the Chapter, but I couldn't find any way to check my Alchemy Level or Level up. So unless someone can clarify what is wrong or any explanation, sell your herbs since the gold is very valuable in buying items. Same goes for the Recipes, sell those to.
Head west of your house, behind it is 3 barrels with a 5g coin inside. Their are a few gnolls around your house you could kill for a few gold coins, but make sure you pick up the herbs. Since we are playing "Extreme" and we only have a "Power Hammer" its in our best interests to get ourselves prepared a bit.

If you just head south-east to the river, you will run into a fallen log which you can use to cross it. Make sure to pick up any herbs and be carefull with killing mobs. They are very unforgiving in damage now and new abilities that I will explain as we go along. (Gonna regret this walkthrough when I get to Galeoth)

After you cross the river, look a bit to the south-east. Their is a simple puzzle, for spoilers strike the First, Second and Last Lever (Left to Right). Using the Control Panel[R] -> Basic Commands[Q] -> Attack [Q], this will reward you with 1 Honor Point and a Lucky Clover. Now head south-west and follow the mountain edge till you can start heading south. Skip the guard with the exclamation mark for now, as he is guarding the cave for the Elite Boss in the chapter. Once you reach Dalli go near the west end find the shop selling Bananas and Bread. Sell all your Herbs you have at the moment and stock up on Bananas and Bread. I would hotkey the box that contains your food so you can quickly flip to it at a moments notice.
Quote
Head east, and you will run into a cinematic with Thomas. He wants you to check out whats going on in the mountain to the north. Lets skip these mobs for now and try dealing with easier things. Between the 2 crops, their is a dig site that yields a 50g coin (Watch out for the spiders, nasty poison attack. We will give them some love later, so be patient!). Keep heading east, ignoring the camps of bandits as they would demolish you quickly, and the noteable "Slaughterer" character. At the far east, their is a dig spot that yields a Minor Restoration Potion. Head north-west to the shallow waters containing Fishthern Compliants. Kill them as it will make the follow-up subquest easier to deal with. You should hit level 2 around this time. Out of complete disregard to what I said earlier, I decided to clear the bandit camp south / south-west of the murlocs and found them not so difficult.

Head north across the bridge, and follow the waterline west to Nathalie. She will have a quest for you to clear a gang of murlocs that spawn up in the area before, where you were killing murlocs. Killing the stronger blue one will net you a Gladius. Return to her for a rewards of 150 EXP. + 30 Gold + Recipe: Potion of Agility. Head north and clear the lesser harpies flitting around, and be carefull of the Queen. Not thats shes hard or anything, but she has a insane mana regeneration and a pesky healing spell. She will drop a set piece called Miragi's Ring.
Head north onto Sir Richard's property. Apparently his fields have been infested by the strongest... erm, weakest worms in the game! Go give them all a good whack! You will get 150 EXP. + 50 Gold for your effort. Head west now and clear out all the gnolls in the area. At the far western side of the map is another dig spot that will yield a Minor Restoration Potion. Head down south killing the gnolls and you see those golems? Theirs a opening at the bottem, where the river is. Kill them all and the last golem will drop a Magical Orb 1. (Notice: These golems could be partically hard at the beggning because they have a stacking armor buff of +1 around every 4 seconds. But since you guys "should" of accumalted alot of extra damage on your Power Hammer, these guys should go down fairly quick with a Meltdown or 2.)

Head back to Dalli and buy a Bronze Shovel in the bottem left store. Click it while its in Phodom's inventory and u will gain 1 Dig Power which is located in your Treasure Hunter spellbook. You can now dig in the bottem left side of the map for a Fire Stone.
Quote
If you have not already triggered the optional quest Elder Golem. Do so now, he is in the top left of Dalli and is called "Guard Max". Head north and kill the golems and the last golem will drop his head. Bring it back to Max and u will earn 250 EXP and 50 Gold.

Remember those spiders? Head east and start whacking them all, including the giant mother. You will gain 1 Honor Point and a Recipe - Potion of Health. Head east and kill Slaughterer he will net you a Axe. Head north-east clearing all the Bandits. The Bandit Wizard will drop a Low Magic Orb while the group above him will drop a Boots of Speed.

Head back towards Dalli and enter Ogre Mountain now. Once u reach the top you will get a optional quest - Ogre Dungeon. You will have to save 10 people by simple walking over to them. Cast Meltdown or use your Attack spell from your spellbook to attack the sleeping ogres.

Once inside the dungeon, start clearing the mobs and when u go on top of the spiral. Their is a wonderoes Lucky Box. If u have obtained the Lucky Charm from the puzzle in the start of the chapter. It will yield a Stogo Helmet. If you don't have the Lucky Charm equiped while opening it, you will get a Moderate Healing Potion. Their is also a 50 Gold Coin laying around in the waterfull which is hard to miss.

As you head north, theirs a diverted path to a dig spot that yields a Glypth of Ability. It gives you a extra skill point! Rejoice! If your level 10, you should have 2 points in the following Shield of Flame, Meltdown, and Fire Mastery. Put this extra point into Chaotic Fire as this spell will be very usefull if you wish to survive the Epic Boss after you kill him.

Keep heading north and you will meet the big fat Ogre Boss. The only thing you will have to watch out for is his channel skill (2-2.5 seconds) which is very obvious because he flares up red flames around him and then he smacks his club down hard (200-300 AOE) for around 1000 damage. His death will grant you 1 Honor Point and Maragath's Belt. Free the rest of the prisoners and get your butt out of their. You will gain 300 EXP and 60 Gold at the end of the path.
Start heading west towards your house. If you remember those sasquatches that we killed earlier? Their is that dig spot that you could never dig deep enough. If you have bought the Bronze Shovel and dig their again, you will get a Combat King - Lucky Strike. Ok, lets head back to your house now. Hopefully you have your 250 Gold Pieces ready! Your child goes missing, save him (Hes in a cage) in the top left corner. Go back, your family dies, boo hoo hoo. You will be forced to kill a Shadow Golem, it has a similiar spell to the Ogre Boss where he channels a spell (1.5-2.0 seconds) and deals a considerable amount of damage (700 Damage) in a AOE (300-400).

After your familys death, alot of new optional quests / mini-bosses will now be opened to you. Head back to the sasquatches before with the dig spot. Their will now be a big mean one their. He has a Berserk (increased attack speed), War Cry (Increased damage) and 3 seperate sasquatch adds will join the fray every 1/3 of his health or time. They are exactly the same ones from before that will cast taunt. His death will get you 1 Honor Point. Head north-east to Sir Richard's property again, something more ominous and very, very much more dangerous than worms have plagued his fields.

At the start of the fight when u smack him once. He will go on his knees, and start his instant death spell (3 seconds) (Defiently does 1100 damage if not more!). Immediatly run around in a counter-clock direction. He will cast 3 of these before stopping. He will also cast Drain Life on you. Immediatly run away from him since his Life Drain will do more damage than your shield can heal, the range on it is around 450, so its easy to break the channeling. His death will give you 1 Boss Point. You will also get 350 EXP and First Son from Sir Richard, how generous.
Quote
Head south now and find the Bandit Warlord who is patrolling around the bandit area. He is nothing special and drops Maragath's Armor. You will run across a cinematic if you go to the road about the man who killed your family. You can end the chapter if u go to the bottem right part of the map, but we still have loads of stuff to do. To the east (following the road to Dalli) a Troll Assasin will pop up and net you (12 seconds). He deals quite a bit of damage and his Attack Speed will increase the more he attacks you to insane speeds. Make sure u have your health potions in your inventory! When you are free from the net, run away from him until he just stops. That is when u have to go attack him. I found that he still had his insane attack speed for 3-4 hits. But my potions healed me through it, and he didn't seem to do this again. His death will drop 1 Boss Point and a Combat King - Lucky Strike.

Head back to Dalli and buy Maragath's Amulet from the bottem right shop. Combine the 3 and get Maragath's Set. This will also unlock another 1 Dig Power from your Treasure Hunter spellbook. The south dig spot of Dalli will net you a Mana Gem. The dig spot near Ogre Mountain will net you Miraga's Armor. Head back to Dalli and buy Miraga's Staff and combine the 3 for Miraga's Set. Head to Sir Richard's property again and the dig spot in the top right corner will net you a Flames of War (Very Powerfull, I would learn it). Which is a learned spell that goes in Phodom's Fire Spellbook. Go head to Dalli and buy any potions and anything else u wana do in this Chapter. To the north of Dalli's entrance is a cave that holds the Elite Boss!

He has a Storm Bolt (400 Damage, 2 Second Stun), a Rain of Fire spell (Screen Shakes, and rocks are falling), A berserk skill that increases attack speed by 400%+, a Warcry skill (Increased damage), Howl of Terror (Decreases your armor) and occasional adds will pop up. His death will award 3 Honor Points, 1 Boss Points a Tzitorin and if u go back inside the cave u will also find the First Brother. Go back to Dalli and stock up on any more potions and stuff u may need. If your done, head north to the opening in the mountain. This is the Epic Boss! Make sure you have your health potions in your inventory and your constantly casting Shield of Fire on yourself constantly.

This fight is not really complicated but the damage from his spells is somewhat overwhelming, so its like 2-3 hits consecutively and your dead. His Rexxar's Stampede spell hit you for about 1000 damage, his flamestrike ticks for 200 damage per 0.5 seconds, his fireball hits for about 1000 damage, his breath of fire hits very hard (He always casts it on me when im below 1000 hp, so it kills me), he has a summon spell for a golem called Urum (Its very weak and I think its bugged to not scale with Extreme Difficulty or Aero just put it their to let us catch our breath :) ), a Mana Burn skill (300 Mana Burned, combusted as damage), and a rain of fire that follows u casted 8 times and pelting those areas for a bit.
At around 1250 hp or below. You are given a choice to let him live or die. If you let him live, you will get an Anaho Relic. If you decide to kill him (3 Boss Points, 3 Honor Points and a Necromancer staff, and you will be attacked by all of the clan members and a large whopping of items will be avaible for you to take whether you kill them or not (Healing/Mana Potions, Food, Gold Coins, Mythril Sabre, Jade Ring). At the point where the Archmage is dead and you everyone attacks you immediatly cast a Shield of Fire and then your Flames of War which is in your fire spellbook [Hotkey: R>A>Q]. Then after that drink a few health potions and then cast Chaotic Fire, this should kill all the nearby clan members! The rest are easy, but make sure u dont die! The dig spot will yield a Low Magic Ball.

This should be your 10th dig spot. If it is, you will gain another Dig Power! Once you kill all the Clan Members (Including the ones at the entrance) you will get a cinematic saying your evil, well get over it. Do whatever you want and then exit the Chapter.

Chapter 2 - Mysterious Order

Quote
+++Annoyances for Chapter 2+++
1) The Black Merchant cinematics is very easy to run into by accident and his cinematic is somewhat long, ver-r-r-y annoying.
2) The area for crossing the bridge is very large as its annoying to head up to the beach from the camp without triggering it without treading carefully.
You are in control of Fradz which is my favorite hero 3.3a and was my most powerfull. Put 2 points into Speedy Boost and Lightning Attack and 1 in each Energy Ball and Lightning Orb. Head west into u stumble into a human encampment. Head south to trigger the portal just so you can access it later, their is nothing u can teleport to so exit it and head north and buy yourselves some cheese and items if u got any extra cash. Head north and kill the crabs (they got thorns aura) and dig up the treasure spot for a Magical Orb 1.

When I had saved in Chapter 1, then loaded it the next day to complete it. I had less health than I had when I saved. My digging spellbook was out of order, like all the things in their shifted one over to the right. And one of my Alchemy spells dissapeared which I think was the +3 Agility recipe one that you could dig up.

Dancing Lightning Sword

Hero: Fradz
Replaces -- Lightning Ball (One of the choices as Fradz last skill)

Description: Having control over the power of wind. Fradz can swing his weapons faster than the eye can see, creating a powerfull electrifying presence and imbueing it into one of his swords. With a mind of its own, loyal to Fradz will slash havoc and chaos among his enemies.

Type: Instant Cast
Mana Cost: 250 (+25 Per Level Increase)
Cooldown: 75 Seconds
Duration: 12 + (Level*0.2)
Damage: 30 + (Level*1.1 + Agility*0.55)
Attack Speed: 0.85 Base Speed - (Agility*0.1) Maximum Speed Base = 0.20
Attack Range: 290

Basically this is a summoning spell that has somewhat low damage but when you reach higher levels and agility. Will make this a very powerfull spell because the attack speed will be reduced greatly and will deal massive amounts of damage during its duration.

Other Notes - It will have a locust ability, and invulnability so it cant be destroyed and it will follow you around if no enemies are withen 500 AOE of you. It will attack the closest to you withen 500 AOE, and has a maximum movement speed. You can't control it either.
