Bug & Balance / Ch 3 Golem Puzzle

First time I played through chapter three I only got 5/6 for omega orb. Second (or third?) time this is what happened:

Solved Puzzle #1 (Golem), lights went away, but did not get credit for solving puzzle.
Solved Puzzle #2 (Invisible Path), got credit for completion.
Solved Puzzle #3 (Twin Rock Monsters) got credit and piece of orb for solving puzzle.

Realized I still have 15 mins left, so I ran back go golem puzzle room. Ran to the middle with my glacial armor and killed some golems for some extra XP before the epic boss. Spent about 5 mins killing golems and one bugged out (in large center circle) - did not come to life to attack me. I entered the circle again, and after killing all but the bugged one, all of the sudden 'You completed the puzzle' came up and I got the orb piece.  ???

I remember someone else saying they could not find the last orb piece, and I bet this bug was the problem!

/ Still can't find Ch4 Elite Boss Tree Thing

Still unable / not sure how to access the elite tree boss. I have obtained the quest, ran around, clicked wisps, ran around more, clicked prospero about 3000 times, ran around more.... and did this both before and after killing chapter boss. Can't figure out how to start elite boss fight in ch 4.

Edit: I could have sworn I've clicked at least like 30 wisps, but perhaps I was toooooo slooooooow? Is there some kind of counter or indicator that you 'got' one?

#2) Long story short: PERHAPS ITS THE RING???? but with that cool ring that lets you get +2 levels over current chapter, I was able to get to level 27/20 in chapter 4 @_@

Localization errors are common.

Sorry for not understanding. Fake ? And what's a localization error? is that something to do with warcraft 3 system or when map initiates or?


CH 4 BLACK MERCHANT SAYS hes gonna sell you this totally kick ass item that will extend ability duration! Was like WOOOOO LONGER STAT BOOST FOR FRADZ!!!! So I pay the man, and he gave me the item that just drains mana (mana orb I belive?) and I already had one on me! Man, if I see that merchant again I'm gonna kick his ass and get my money back!

Bad news is you will have to restart the chapter because you killed the boss, which disables the other quests. Good news is most of your questions have already been answered, some in the Help Me FAQ and some in the Help Masterthread, just browse around. If I remember correctly a guy called Lc-Darkness asked about the Elite Quest and I answered him, also with screenshots.

You can't access the Epic Boss cave before finishing Elite Quest. Good luck !

EDIT:
Ok, with Stone quest, I got my 5th mini boss, and thats the other quest...
I still can't access the tree elite boss.  I have the quest, I tried touching wisps just in case, still nothing. I opened editor and saw where the tree guy was at, but nothing happened when I ran over there. Tried clicking on Prospero, ran around to find a different trigger, and did this both before and after boss fight... What am I missing?

/ Chapter 4 Questions

Overview: 1/4 quests completed, 4/5 Mini-Boss, 0/1 Epic & Elite Boss

#1) Saw the post about orange stone, will check that out - so thats one of the quests I am missing...

#2) I saw that the fairies had been changed or something, I haven't played previous versions... I can't find where to start this quest.

#3) Caves - navigated my way to almost the end but there's a wall of 'glittery lights' that is blocking my way, could not figure out how to get rid of it.

#4) Could not find out how/where to do that quest about the tree that kills people...

#5) Mini-Bosses: I got the fish guy, the 2 cactus guys and the spider chick... where can I find 5th one?

#6) Meilipoli (or whatever his name is) read something about him, could not find him anywhere...

I have killed the boss, and ran around and ran around and ran around.... can't figure it out  :'(  I have a save game file still incase someone wants to look / test with it.

Bug & Balance / Exp Bug! & Flowers in Ch 4

Ok, so I haven't tested this toooo much, but here's what I found out.
#1) While the multiboard shows +exp bonus, it doesn't actually give a bonus.  I killed a thing, got 10 exp with +115% exp bonus.  Took off all the gear, had +0% on multiboard, still got 10 exp from same monster. :'(

#2) Long story short: PERHAPS ITS THE RING???? but with that cool ring that lets you get +2 levels over current chapter, I was able to get to level 27/20 in chapter 4 @_@
Long story long:
In Ch1, I beat the epic boss and let him live, getting the uber ring that gives +exp and lets you go +2 levels over chapter limit.
In Ch4, I was like 'OK, I'm gonna go cap my level, then take off this ring so I have another slot for epic/elite bosses!' 'Woo, these mutants infinite respawn!' 'ok, I'll sit here for like 2 hours just farming XP so I can have this slot free and be 2 levels higher so I can really kick their asses' 'wow, been doing this forever, I wonder what the level cap is for this chapter' 'HOLY HECK I'M LEVEL 27/20 WHAT HAPPENED?!?! @_@'

#3) Flower count lies in chapter 4  :'(  says you can get 20.  Finally I opened editor, and found YOU ONLY HAVE 18  :'(   I was looking for the other 2 for no good reason  :'(.  (8 Bahm, 10 Posamenian)  Please add 2 Bahm or change count to 18  ::)

Bug & Balance / Chapter 5 Basement

Not sure if this is a bug or me missing something, but after obtaining the basement key, and returning to the Dragon Inn even with the key in Phodom's inventory and asking about the basement, guy still said 'problem is we don't have a key' line again... tried clicking on key, putting it on ground near inn, changing to Fradz, not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its a bug...

Also if you select any Hero + other (like an elemental or a summoned mummy or whatever) hero's basic (the one that can't level up) ability is gone, and attack ability is added to control panel, and some icons get moved around.

1INFORMATION (Treasure Hunter)

Some items are harder to obtain and need higher Dig Power in order to be dug out successfully. To get Dig Power, you must do different tasks. Check out your Dig Power for each character from the multiboard.

2INFORMATION (Battle Thief)
|c00FEBA0EThe Battle Thief's job is to steal powerful items while in a fight. Only the bosses have stealable items. All you need to do to steal an item is to have enough Steal Percent, which can be obtained from items, and through abilities. Agility will also increase this by 0.4% per agility point. Some enemies can lower the chance you have. Look in the bosses? inventories to check if they have items that can be stolen.

3INFORMATION (Alchemist)
|c00FEBA0EAlchemists create powerful potions that increase the drinker's stats permanently. There is a wide selection of different potions. To create a potion, you must gather the correct flowers and a correct vial. Each successful potion that is created gives plus one Alchemist Level.

Higher ranked potions need a higher Alchemist Level to be able created. All the Alchemist resources can be seen from your multiboard. In the beginning, you're only able to create normal potions, but when you've found recipes it's possible to create more powerful potions.

Steal an item from targeted enemy unit. Click the enemy unit to see if he has any items that can be stolen. LIGHTNING MASTERY ? The text for this ability does not match what is shown (at least during prologue).  Could not find where the text was that I saw in the prologue.

TELEPORT STRIKE
Being an upgraded version of the Flash Strike ability, this time Fradz uses everything he can offer.  He becomes as fast as lightning itself, making him untouchable and able to hit nearby enemy units 10 times at an extreme speed.
