Title: Dissapointing News

Hi.

I send week ago an email to my old friend asking about the crash bug. This friend knows very well how all things work in World Editor. Well, today I got message from him and I started to test things he told me to test.

As you guys have seen, when Phodom dies the campaign crashes. This is already a major bug, but the bug doesn't just stop there.  The bug is a lot deeper than I thought: the campaign is corrupted somewhat.

The early chapters are not that corrupted as later chapters. For example chapter 9 and 10 are so corrupted that they are unable to play: it's impossible to even start them. The best of all this is that this bug is impossible to fix as the campaign itself is corrupted.

I tested different versions and it seems like Third Closed Beta Test of 1.5 is the last version before the bug occurs. This means I've lost like three weeks of time.

My future plan is to continue from Third Closed Beta Test of 1.5 and finish chapter 6 and 7 same time. Of course it depends of my motivation, but at the moment after hearing such a horrible news my motivation is really low.

don't be so worried, my friend. i know that you was so disapointed now and i am sad, very sad too. But i'm not sad about the campaign was corrupted, i'm sad when i'm hearing you about to give up. i like this game so bad, when i turn on the computer, first thing i do is going to tco website and check every news, many many times and play the campaign again and again... i told my girlfriend that the guy who made up this game its so amazing, brilliant, he can do even a greatest thing, biggest fun i've ever got.
  i dont have much to say, not about i dont care about my friend Aero, its about my poor English. i got much to say but i can't now ( dont know about future :) ). And the last thing i want to say is " Aero, you have got my respect, i like everything you do to make this game better, and i know you feel so bad this time but i need you get up, to do it better, to FIX all this things... to do the even great you did before...

Hohohohhohoooo...  ;)

I laughed whole yesterday, when people started contacting me about the case saying emotional things about the project.  ;D

Well, anyway, I'm far from done. I'm at the moment doing new abilities, fixing some bugs and making that final minor version.

Also one big thing was told me today. It seems like I'm Hiveworkshop's 1st map. That website is probably the biggest Warcraft 3 map site. This could mean that The Chosen Ones is like "second best map after DOTA". This just my own speculation.

Problem with that dude.. The Chosen Ones is not a map but a campaing lol :P.

Then, you should think of a tournament, because it's possible that after the full version come out, TCO will be no.1! Will WCG include TCO :p??!!

I know it for a long time. No one's been making a map with so much effort.

I was thinking how should I actually continue:

1) Make another minor version fixing few things
2) Finish chapter 7 and then release major version with everything fixed

How should I progress?

I prefer better to sooner. Some of us have been waiting for this great campagn for years. I think it's ok for this few days. It's a campaign worth waiting!

Okay guys, then I will focus next to chapter 7 and try to finish it as soon as possible. I have already started making it, but it will take few weeks to fully create it.

The next version will also have some other changes:

- All ability descriptions will be shorter and easier to understand. Just like what I did to items.
- Also I'll create a little system that some abilities can "combo". Meaning one ability can do "Bleed" and other ability use it to deal for example 25% greater damage to enemy units who has this "Bleed" effect.
- Also I'll probably edit the starting item packs.
- Some new abilities I'll also do mostly for Phodom.

What else is need to improve?

Is there any way to allow player to select skills for character at the beginning of CHAPTER, not all-in-one at the beginning of GAME?

By looking at nhc1987, I guess he is another Vietnamese guy! Oh, I love TKoK so much that I fell SO HAPPY when you say about COMBO! I just need one thing but I'm sure there is no way you can do it: shorten loading time :p !!!

It was like that before. Was that a better option?
