Competition IdeaIn this competition you're challenged to create an idea related to invisibility. The idea can be just about anything: from bosses all the way to items. The game will later use more this invisibility function as I haven't much it used so far. For example, in the next version you'll see some more items that can reveal invisible enemies and chapter 8 epic boss' cinematics can only be triggered when you actually see the boss.Hints
- There are millions of possibilities to create your entry, it just must somehow relate to theme.
- Your idea can for example be an item that has an ability to reveal invisible things.
- Your idea can for example be an ability that has an ability to reveal invisible things. Or why not an ability to turn invisible?
- Your idea can for example be a special boss spell, where the boss becomes invisible for example.
- Your idea can be a cinematic that only can be see when you have something that can see invisible things.
Competition Rules
- The idea have to be yours.
- You can make unlimited amount of entries.
- I will have all the rights to edit the rules(I will do it correctly and I will be fair for everyone).
Competition PrizesThe winner of this competition will have his or her name to Hall Of Fame and will be credited as "Competition Winners" and "Idea Giver". If you have one more than once you'll be credited automatically as "Great Idea Giver". Also any other ideas that I'll use will be credited as "Idea Giver".JudgingI'm the only one who will judge the winner of the competition. I will judge all entries. The amount of entries you post will not decrease your chance to win in any way. However, if there are a lot of entries or horrible entries, I'll have the right to kick some of them away in order to make the final judge easier for me.
This is the order how I judge:
- Is your idea creative and fresh?
- Can I possibly create your idea?
- The presentation?
DeadlineThe competition begins immediately and conclude at 30.3.2012 or when there are enough entries.Final WordsGood luck, may the best idea win. If you have questions, ask.

Greetings,
The Stalking Ultimatum
Hero Ability - Invisibility
Effect: The hero turns invisible for 30 seconds, slowing down attack and movement speed by 50%. Invisibility does NOT break if attacking, casting spells or using items while invisible. However, if detected by the enemy, invisibility renders off.
- Level 1: Hero is detected by mini-bosses, bosses and elite / epic bosses.
- Level 2: Hero is detected by bosses and elite / epic bosses.
- Level 3: Hero is detected by elite / epic bosses.
- Level 4: Hero isn't detected by anything.
- Level 5: Spell duration is increased to 45 seconds.

PUZZLE CONCEPT
Invisible Chase
What does it consists of ? :
There's a huge room covered in dust. For the puzzle to be complete, you must catch (approach) the Poltergeist. This puzzle is played with Fradz (hm!hm!hm!) which is the one who accepts the Geist challenge.
What are it's mechanics ? :
- The Poltergeist walks around the room, and sometimes, teleport.
- The floor is covered in sand, and as such, reveal the Geist steps.
- The tricky Poltergeist can, sometimes, make a double of himself and stand still. The double then will act as the Geist would for some time. Approaching the double will cause Fradz to be pushed away and receive a slow debuff.
- Receiving x debuffs will make Fradz MS drop down to zero, which means Fradz losts the game.
- The Poltergeist has a x%(low) chance of creating more than one double.
- There are runes around the run that will facilitate/make the puzzle harder. They will all have the same color. They can :
- remove one debuff stack
- dimish Fradz line of sight
- make your commands going weird
- make the next double fail
- etc,etc,etc
What's the puzzle reward ? :
Just a random idea ->
Trickster Gloves - Not sure about numbers, but when Fradz goes lower than 50% hp, he stand still invulnerable and a double of him is made. Lasts 5 seconds.
And If I lose ? :
Nothing happens... I guess

Greetings,
Descent Hide
Boss Ability - Invisibility
- The boss turns invisible and blinks a short distance to random direction. In order to be detected, a hero must stand close enough to the boss to reveal it (requires no skills or items to reveal).
- The boss may only use ranged and spell attacks while invisible. Attacking or casting spells does NOT break the invisibility.
- The boss gains a 50% damage boost while invisible.
- Lasts until a hero attacks the boss.
Anti-Invisibility Barrier
Boss Ability - Anti-Invis
- When a hero is about to activate invisibility, the boss immediately detects the attempt, shouting "You coward! There's no place to hide!", creating an ethereal magic barrier and interrupting + silencing the hero who used the invisiblity for 5 seconds.
- The barrier lasts 30 seconds. While it's up, the heroes' spell damage is reduced by 25%.
- Activating invisibility while the barrier is up results to the boss attacking the specific hero for 250% damage and interrupting + silencing it for 5 seconds; Once a barrier has disappeared, boss may cast it again if a hero attempts to use invisibility.

Okay good. Now we need some more entries here. This is going pretty well.

The Ambush
Note : This idea is suggestive. The boss being a "ninja" means only that he's capable of moving fast and he has knowledge of stealth.
Type : Boss Event
Model : http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models-530/headhunter-49194/?prev=search%3Dninja%26d%3Dlist%26r%3D20
Information : The boss turns permanently invisible and attacks a random dragon slayer each 1 second with a low amount of dmg.The boss's fade time after the attack is of 0.5 seconds. The way to combat the boss is to active a a dust of true seeing(that can be bought or smth) exactly when the boss fades out.The dust should have infinite charges , but a call down of about 15 seconds and a duration of 5 seconds.
When the boss loses his invisiblity , he either goes beserk (50% bonus dmg but recives 35% more) either panics(50% bonus movement speed but recives 35% more) and runs away as much as posible.
Bonus Information : The boss drops a "smoke bomb" that would be used as an item in the puzzle of my next entry.
Another Note : What do you think about my formatting , DD?

Greetings,
Another Note : What do you think about my formatting , DD?
._.
It's pretty nice actually, I wouldn't have ever thought that grey titles + beige text would match so well... But I don't get your idea about the "true-seeing dust".
P.S. My expressions have been offshored to China.
-
But I don't get your idea about the "true-seeing dust".
Dust of true seeing?
-
Greetings,
Dust of true seeing?
Duh... The very same. It doesn't really matter which way you say it, meaning remains the same.

'
If you'd play DotA , you'd know what I mean...
-
It's an item that will be added in the next version.
-
Yea it seems like Black has very same type of idea I have... Or actually that was Killa's idea. I mean the dust.
-
Greetings,
There are a total of 5 entries from 3 different people, so would it be any possible at all to get this finally judged?
Just saying that the "unsure" deadline is nearly two months old... Will be in a couple of days.
-
Yes, I see.
I'll bring alive the competitions when the next version is done.

Okay here is the (other) judge doing something that is pretty much forgotten since 2 months ago. We have 5 entries from 3 members, each with their own unique ideas and presentations. And now we proceed to everybody's favorite part: judgin' !
Our first contestant is DD Canada/Xavorn/After Storm//=FoX=/-Eragon. He has 3 entries and, as usual, great presentations for all three of them. Now let's take a look at the first entry:
The Stalking Ultimatum
PROS- Balanced
- Great name for the entry
- Good presentation
CONS- Hard to made
- Not quite a hero ability nor an item's ability. Something in-between apparently
- Nobody likes being stalked
=> Final score: 3/5
Descent Hide
PROS- Balanced
- Creative idea
- Good presentation
CONS- Hard to made
- A bit too randomized since the hero needs to stand close enough to the boss to reveal it, which is purely chance-based
=> Final score: 4/5
Anti-Invisibility Barrier
PROS- Creative idea
- Good presentation
CONS- Not balanced. 30 secs is way too long. Especially if the boss arena is small and requires using invi often to evade the boss
- Hard to made
=> Final score: 3.5/5
Our next entry is from a veteran: LucasMapurunga !
Invisible Chase
PROS- I like the idea
- Average presentation
CONS- Not balanced. There is no way to distinguish the double from the Poltergeist. This is a crucial tactical concept in the puzzle
- Really hard to made
=> Final score: 2.5/5
Our next entry is from the legend- (wait for it) -dary guy: Blackdoom59
The Ambush
PROS- Nice idea
- Above-average presentation
- Tactical
CONS- There is no way to react in 0.5 second
- Can't be made
=> Final score: 2.5/5
The winner is /=FoX=/-Eragon with the Descent Hide entry. Congratulations!
-
Good job judging the contest. Descent Hide is definitely a great boss idea.
Other entries are too fine nothing was really bad. I approve the judge!
