Hello everyone, it's finally time to release next major version. As usually, this major version will contain a new chapter, but also improves the gameplay. I've once again went to a next level and improved many systems and made many great changes. I've been doing this new major version half a year so it definitely does have many great improvements.


Beta 1.8h to Beta 1.9

CHANGES:

  • Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
  • Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
  • Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
  • Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
  • Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
  • Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
  • Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
  • Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
  • Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
  • Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
  • Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
  • Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
  • Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
  • Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!
  • Mystic Storm and Frost Shard recoded.
  • From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!
  • Small changes to abilities, but not much. I plan to once again balance them in the coming minor versions. For example, I was thinking to completely remove Bleed, Brittle and Stagger. What do you think?
  • Fixed hundreds of major and minor bugs.

Major versions will always bring new strange bugs. It's the minor versions which will fix the things afterward!

I wonder what kind of weird bugs we'll have this time.  ::)

But I will fix them! The next weeks I'll focus on fixing bugs, improving the gameplay and adding interludes to the campaign! All 9 interludes will be added before chapter 10 will come. 7 of 9 dialogues are ready, I just need to create them. Good night everyone! It's been a very long day.

Well...so it's finally here. Time to play it seriously [-) ... that said, if some really freaking weird  major wild bug appears, i will wait until it's fixed.

Hmm. Improvements to the current systems. I don't remember if I've created a new new system.

Pass. I played it so many times, that I remember everything from chapters 1-7 and if I played it now, I wouldn't feel like playing it again on final version. Guess I'll just wait for that one. Hopefully in the summer.

Also, it would be lovely if you prepared some skill presentations in the prologue. So that one can see how the skill exactly works. I for example never picked many skills, becouse I'm just too afraid that they wouldn't be good enough. And I would have to work my way through all three chapters at the beginning to see them all.

Well, I am definetly not going to complain about the final version. I swear.

You don't have a save from chapter 8 to 9?

I was thinking to add quickmenu which have already chosen abilities and items. These packs are created by players of the campaign. So no need to go all the hassle to choose abilities for yourself. However, I will do this when all abilities are added to the campaign. The next minor versions will add last of the abilities.

I will later create a topic about this and then people can create their own sets. The name of the sets are based on creator's name or otherwise their chosen name for the pack.
