Weekly Progress #1
« on: September 29, 2014, 03:34:41 am »
Hey,

From this day on every Monday I create a new thread about the progress.

Kitabatake helped me last weekend with many things and now only "Undying System" is the one I cannot do myself. I will ask his help again and once that system is done there's nothing that I cannot do.

Here are things that are still not done.
  • Last two phases of Xvareon battle (the very, very last battle is hard to create and most likely will take many days to finish)
  • Finish first optional quest (today I'm able to finish this)
  • Add final texts and finish optional quest 3 (today I'm able to finish this)
  • Finish rest of the items and campaign rewards (some items and campaign rewards give me a headache)

And when these are done, I have to test the campaign many, many times until it's polished to the perfection. Also I have to fix bugs from other chapters and add Easter Eggs to each chapter. That will also take some time.

Epic boss and epilogue are not added to the next version. Interludes maybe. I believe, the next version will come in 2-4 weeks.

I'm glad you like it! Aero has done an amazing job :D!!

The answer to your question is no and yes. No you can not merely load your save game in the new version, WC3 saves all data regarding the game state so it's just not possible to "load" into a new version. BUT you can restart a previous chapter or the chapter you are now up to from the menu and that will pull your end of chapter save info from files and you will be able to continue the story from where you left off.

Most often you try to finish the chapter you are on and then just select the next chapter in the new version :)

Nice nice and nice. And to your question: yes of course. Actually AdmOrian answered better way. Just load your next chapter or prologue. You can't do the campaign version change thing inside a chapter.
