Ability Weekend Schedule

Hello,

This is the schedule of the weekend.

Friday: Today I will finish the abilities. Today I might be live streaming too between 18:00 to 24:00 (+3 GMT). If you especially want today to test the campaign, come to the chat and I can give you a version with Phodom's abilities. Fradz and Galeoth I still need to create(they are 90% ready, just need to install new descriptions and do final changes). I might be able to finish Fradz's and Galeoth's abilities today for the testing too.

Saturday: This is the grand day. Everything should be ready now and I will publish a versions that you guys can test. The version should include most of the abilities. If not all. Today you guys test and I too. I will be live streaming, and maybe you too? There will be multiple versions depending of you and I.

Sunday: The last day I will continue fixing bugs but I will go to a lan party starting from 14:00 so before that the last version will come. This version should be the one with less bugs and everything almost fixed and ready. If I have time in lan party I can come and look what is the progress.

All the testings will be done in a special map that is very easy to test. The idea is not just test the abilities but the overall gameplay as well. Remember to share with me all your thoughts about the abilities and the gameplay. We together make the game great.

I will be livestreaming about 6 hours before I go to lan party. My plan is to fix bugs and create rest of the abilities.

Alright, so I finished testing a bit. And here is what I have found.

Shield of fire: Does not have a visual effect. Or an indication that it is active.

General's Badge: It makes Phodom use the casting animation instead of idle/wait animation.

When picking Phodom's ultimate, "Animal War Training" is one of the icons that can be picked.

Crown of Magic doesn't reset the count. After the first four spells, it will also send out an AoE heal and damage. It can also be passed between heroes and keep the count amount.

Headbutt doesn't seem to take away 10% of max health from current health on cast.

Spinning death does not have a De-activator. It can only be stopped if Phodom runs out of mana, or is sent another command (such as casting another spell, moving, holding position, ect).

Yes it is an item. However, if Phodom picks up the item, he uses the casting animation.

So in other words, if you look at Phodom when he is standing still and doing nothing, that animation is the idle/wait animation. Now had Phodom cast a spell, that animation is the casting animation. Instead of using the idle/wait animation after he picks up General's Badge, he begins using the casting animation.

Yes it is an item, the problem is the coding for the item. The description says that every 5th spell, it will heal allies around the caster, and damage enemies around the caster. But, instead after the 4th spell cast, it will always heal, and always damage with every cast; Instead of requiring casting 5 more spells to get the same effect.

It can be dropped, it can be given to other heroes, and it will still heal and damage with every cast. So the spell count isn't being reset.

Then the description needs to change. It states that it's type is "Activated/Deactivated". When I think of that, I am thinking of an auto-cast, such as frost arrows; Right click, and it's activated or right click again and now it's deactivated.

What I mean by the frost arrows example, is that I am able to turn it on or off with just one action. I do not have to do more than one action to change it from on to off. No moving of the character, nor telling the character to stop, or cast another ability. Just right click, it's on, right click it's off.

So for Spinning Death, I'm expecting to be able to click it, and it turns on, and then click it again to turn it off.

I think iam little late...btw iam playing 1.9..in that version the general badge make characters do their meditate animation, not just phodom but fradz & galeoth also..In case of galeoth it happens after u give general badge to phodom/fradz & then again give it to galeoth..btw i thought it was cool.. & also didn't affect the gameplay also..& in that version general badge also was not giving armor bonus(neways i never wanted armor from that item. I just use it for aura) which i think someone must have reported already in bug section & you must have fixed it..!
