Feedback on chapter 9 Epic Boss

I hope this topic fits in here. If not, please feel free to move it to another section.

First, the chapter 9 Epic Boss fight truly deserves the quality to be called epic. It is a masterpiece. However, I wanted to point out a couple of things.

First Yurgimar tends to fly away after the Luyju fight every second so that it is difficult to deal damage and bring him down. He flies away so often, that it gets rather boring to fight the sticks of doom and the skeletal wizards so often. I don't know if there is a special trick or it is intended that he touches off so often but I feel this should be at least be revised in order for the player to deal more damage. Suggestion: keep him down for at least 10 seconds in order to keep it motivating and not so frustrating.

Second the fight in the room when you have to bring his mana down in order to deal damage. Sometimes he flies away and the circles of power occur. It is really difficult to stay alive in this phase because the damage dealt is rather high. I often was dead before I could even reach the circles. Suggestion: Reduce the damage dealt in this phase just a little bit in order to make it fair to reach the circles to stay alive.

I hope my suuggestions are worth to be considered. Nevertheless, the basic conception of this boss is really good and i just want to see it modified for balance reasons.

On a sidenote: I lost all my 15 lives because i was not able to reach the circles and I needed about 30 minutes after the Luyju phase to bring Yurgimar down with only fighting sticks of doom and skeletal wizards.

I would appreciate your opinion Aero and of cource other opinions too.

Also there were more events beside the circle thing but I removed them because they didn't work as I wanted. Usually epic or elite should have at least 2 or 3 type of event but Yurgimar just has one. So later there will be more.

From 5% of max health per second to 4%.

I remember him flying away so often but I think by timing your stun spells will give you additional time to damage him. Other than that I don't remember having any trouble on the first part of this fight.

Aero will give one hero almost (I think) immunity to the damage by just making him move. By equipping movement speed items Fradz' set Zocmo's set will give you enough speed to reach their respective circles. Also by timing your character's heal skills will ensure survival on this part.

Why you no save and load? What about potions?

In my opinion, I am pretty much satisfied with the epic boss fight. I will give more feedback after I played it again from the start.

It could be even better. I was too hasty to publish chapter 9. It was the last thing to be fixed from the chapter anyway. I removed couple of things from the boss.

Mes salutations!

After ? tell if this comes ? (see att.), it's been impossible to touch Yurgi. My Fradz crits for 30k, yet I litteraly spent 3 hours trying to place a single hit between his invulnerability from landing and the one from jumping. In fact, 3 hours to fight wards that shoot spikes DAMN they're annoying ! :)

I suggest there would be a minimum 2-3 seconds before he jumps again. I also noticed Yurgi doesn't really care about being stunned since he jumps anyway. I was relying on that to keep him to the ground but eh... Intended?

The bone prison is a great idea! Reminds me of D2.

I can't tell exactly, sorry. From what I remember, all he did was jump then land immediatly on top of me without any event triggering. After that message I could not touch him anymore. Hope that helps. Cheers
