What do you think about Bleed, Brittle and Stagger system?

Do you ever use it?

I'm thinking about removing the whole thing. Now it's up to you. What do you think?

Frankly, I dont really care about this system lolzzz. But if every damaging spell can effect bleed, brittle or stagger and damage from all spells can be increased by having any of the debuffs, then I may consider this system when I choose my spells in Prologue.

When i replay this game a first time, i don't really care about it when picking my skills. However, after 2-3 times finished it, i am bored about the same skills picking all of the times. Then i repick all skills and calculate the effectiveness of the combination of 3 characters. This system helps you to build up your own playing strategy, this makes TCO become more "unique".

I try not to care.
I have seen systems such as dis before in other mods for wc3 and other games entirely. It does make the campaign a little bit more unique(even if the level of "unique" is over 9k on this campaign) but it's really not that much. The effects themself don't do anything. The bleed isn't doing dps , the stagger isn't a real stun and I honestly don't know what brittle means.

They are there for other spells to take effect (25% bonus damage if the enemy is bleeding). That can sometimes be life-saving however once again 98% of the time a 25% bonus damage to a spell is equal to one attack of the character that is casting it.

Okay, these *could* be useful, but it always takes more time when you are planning such strategies: "Okay, first, I cast this, then this, and then quickly this! Oh, man, I was stunned and the time run out!" You can basically make the same results not using those things and just focusing on **** dpsing. However, it would be more useful and fun if the damage was bigger. If I remember well, one skill in Dragon Age 2 had like +500% bonus damage in cross-class combo - I always used it there, becouse it was better to wait for both skills to get ready, than to cast them in a more random way.

You could also remodel and change this system into something more interesting. The effects could give other bonuses except for damage. Armor bypass, magic penetration or longer stun. If a two-skill combo had a possibility to produce a 10 sec. freeze or stun - I would go for it. You could also make three skill combos - first gives A, second gives B, and third, if A and B are still on, gives massive effect - really long stun, like *too long*, or 75% AoE damage (for single target skill) - you know, a shard misteriously explodes. You could also combine these combos with elementals and maybe even espers. And, let's go for it, spells. It would be lovely!

Or imagine a 5-step combo! Or a 6-step combo! You are spending an entire epic boss fight trying to do the right combo and not get killed while doing it - and if you succed, well, you almost win! Wow, that would be totally superplasmatic!

Or a combo that works only with certain items in you eq! Well, that actually sucks. But read the previous paragraph!

- There is a lot of things to work on besides this system.
- Number of bugs (existing and potential) is proportional to number of features, so I think the best is for now to disable it and slightly increase damage of spells. When all main work is done, then re-enabling it is worth considering.

I do try and combo attacks to use it but I don't think it's all that necessary or noticeable. May as well just up the abilities damage if it's causing bugging problems.

to be entirely honest, i never actually felt the existence of that system on a gameplay basis ever.
what does stagger and brittle and bleed even do? they dont get shown as debuffs on the target and other than increasing the damage of other spells slightly, they dont seem to have any effect.

removing it sounds fine to me, really.

Maybe we should have animations on the monster to show that it has been afflicted with the bleed, brittle or and stagger? That way we know the system can work. Also, all combat orders should have their animations affecting monsters so that we know they work.
