Race for the Crystal Dust of Strengthening

Description:

The main goal of this puzzle / mini-game is to collect 12 pouches of crystal dust, which are guarded by the crystal golems themselves.

There are 8 spawn points on the edges across the arena. When the game begins, one pouch has already spawned on one of them. As the dragon slayers make their way and collect it, there's a 5 to 20 seconds delay before a new pouch appears randomly on one of the spawn points again. You must pick up a pouch or the delay doesn't continue to count.

How everything works:

- As mentioned before, there are twelve pouches in total - However, when someone collects them, they don't do anything by sitting in your backpack. Instead, consuming the crystal dust strengthens the consumer, granting 100 bonus health & mana, 10 damage and 1 armor permanently with each pouchful.

- Target is to gather all of the pouches, but if anyone eats a pouch of dust before all of them are gathered, one pouch automatically vanishes off from the total count, so for example, when you've collected one pouch, eating it reduces the total number of spawned pouches to 11. This applies even if you've collected 11 and the last pouch has appeared; eating any of the 11 causes the last untouched pouch to disappear.

- To make things even worse, the guardian golems have a 25% chance to steal one pouch from a dragon slayer when attacking. Without a pouch to carry, their movement speed is the maximum available, in order not to be outrun by the dragon slayers. Once they gain a pouch, their movement speed is zero'd.

- Upon stealing a pouch back from a dragon slayer, that guardian golem is willing to eat the dust itself in order not to let the dragon slayers gain their power. The delay before consuming the pouch is determined by golem's endurance, and if the dragon slayers succeed to kill it before the wait is over, they re-gain the pouch.

- Golems cannot be attacked unless they have a pouch; dragon slayers cannot be attacked unless they carry at least one pouch.

- At start, there's one golem per spawn point, which are brought to life by stealing a pouch from a spawn point. If a golem is killed, another golem is spawned from the point it was guarding and sent to attack the closest dragon slayer with a pouch.

- Only four pouches per dragon slayer can be carried at a time, cannot be dropped upon taking.

- Once all the available pouches have been taken by the dragon slayers, the game ends and remaining golems are killed. The reward is based on luck (steal chance) and if you chose to or not to eat any of the dust.

- It is optional, if there's a time limit or not. Personally I think there should be, but I'm not able to tell a balanced time limit...
