Competition Idea

The idea of this competition is to create an ability for Lightning Esper that lies in chapter 7.  The ability can be either Boss Spell that will be used against the player or an ability you can cast on enemies once you have the Esper.

Hints

- If you decide to create an ability for the Esper that player can use, these are the categories: Single, AoE, Passive and Ultimate.
- If you decide to make a boss spell, it must be tactical.
- The spell must relate to lightning theme in some way.
- The ability can be used both ways, thus giving extra points.




Competition Rules

- The idea have to be yours.
- You can make unlimited amount of entries.
- I will have all the rights to edit the rules all the time(I will do it correctly and I will be fair for everyone).




Competition Prizes

The winner of this competition will have his or her name to Hall Of Fame and will be credited as "Competition Winners" and "Idea Giver". If you have one more than once you'll be credited automatically as "Great Idea Giver". Also any other ideas that I'll use will be credited as "Idea Giver".



Judging

I'm the only one who will judge the winner of the competition. I will judge all entries. The amount of entries you post will not decrease your chance to win in any way. However, if there are a lot of entries or horrible entries, I'll have the right to kick some of them away in order to make the final judge easier for me.



Deadline

The competition begins immediately and conclude Sunday 30/1/2011.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~     BASIC IDEA    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thunderclouds appearing in the sky, After X second They start dropping lightnings to the position they are (you can make it so you can see clouds shadow, or a small cloud with a mark down of it)

~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now, if you wanna fit it in boss's spell arsenal you can make it like this:

Boss turns invelnerable, and clouds begin to appear, then pewpew lightnings

If you want it for a chara spell i  have 2 versions:

1) Randomly occurs (cloud / clouds appear etc)
2) Hero uses it and clouds appear consuming %mana each sec they throw lightnings

Ok, I know i am awesome :P

Okay, that's one idea. I remind that you are able to create unlimited amount of entries. So for example if you have another idea you can simply post it here.

Ok so my idea will be a spell that allows the Esper to have an electric feedback to the enemies. Basically, when the esper attacks you, it will gain an energy ball around the esper. Once it has 10 energy balls it will cause a huge damaging AoE explosion to the surrounding heroes. However, it will take 2 seconds before another ball can appear if one was just spawned. The heroes will have to run back quickly and use ranged attacks once the balls get around 7 or 8 because once it gets to 9 it can quickly go to 10 without you escaping in time and if you are close to it, it's bye bye heroes health.

This can work for both when you fight the boss and when you use the esper.

Well that's my idea.

Actually, I was thinking of the thing like Killa's entry, which the Esper start to build up energy of lightning and deal a huge Area of Effect Damage, but at the same time, I was actually thinking of "upgrading" the idea so that it will be more interesting, oh well. Anyway, Here is my entry for this competition:

Thunder Wave (AoE Channeling):

Every random time, the Esper will start to channel large amount of energy and there is no where to stop him unless you have a bash or a stun of course. After channeling for 5 - 10 second, the Esper will release 2 wave of thunder at an extremely high speed from him, first in an X shape and second in the shape of a cross (you could also make it random like when the first time he uses this skill, it releases out the lightning in X, then cross, but at the second time, it come out in the shape of a cross first then in the shape of an X. My suggestion for the animation of the thunder wave is to make the projectile or whatever you call it a lightning bolt from above and as the lightning bolt struck the ground, make the Thunder Clap animation skill as well).

Also, instead of the wave's effect grows gradually weaker as it extend, the effect of the thunder wave grow stronger and stronger, thus making the player so that he needs to avoid the waves carefully or else he will be struck and will be dealt high damage and be purged as well, greatly reducing movement speed, attack damage and armor for short period of time

For my second entry, I don't know if this is accepted or not, as it lies in the category "support" more while there are only single, AoE, passive and ultimate, but here is it anyway:

The Esper will summon an amount of ball full with lightning energy (amount of ball depends on difficulty) that requires at least 20 or 30 hits for it to be killed (amount of hit needed depends on difficulty as well). While the energy ball is still alive which is filled with the energy of a powerful lightning guardian, every magic damage that is used on the Esper by the enemy will instead turn the magic damage into his own energy and heals him for an amount of hit point, the more damage the magic damage should deal the more hit point it heals the Esper.

Well, so there's an otherone, but it requires some more work:

~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IDEA ONE ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~

Make 4 pillars in the corner of boss' room. Every X% hp he (the boss) loses 1 random tower gets pumped up. That could be translated with Gives positive auras to the boss, gives negative auras to the heroes.
So like, you can make 1 tower about hp rege, 1 about attack speed etc. You may not make towers but something else, i just suggest towers it is cooler :P.

The heroes can fight them, or ignore them, If the tower gets destroyed the auras it produced are swiped away. You can add visuals on it and whatnot.

Now an other one:

~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ IDEA TWO ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~

The lightning Esper, (name), Has learnt to manipulate lightning in its very pure form. He throws wave of lightning (small radius) everywhere around him. (like 5 small waves.) The waves then start bouncing, if a wave touches and other an explosion is triggered.

I see that this competition is a lot more succeful than the last one. Keep up the entries coming, you can make a new entry to a new post or edit your old one. Same to me.

Hey and here comes the judge! This time also I'm satisfied with the results. First time in the history I found a perfect entry.



SaRDaNaPaLoS_QQ - "Thunderclouds"

The idea of Thunderclouds is used many times before. I liked the mana reduction bonus thought. I may add this to the boss fight.

SaRDaNaPaLoS_QQ - "4 pillars"

At the beginning of fight there are four pillars that increases boss' in a different ways from attack damage to hit point regeneration. I like the idea, but I think the idea needs some improvements. Like the pillars aren't vulnurnerable all the time, instead, one of them is vulnurnerable at the time making other pillars invulnerable. This could make some more tactic to this.

I'll add this spell to another boss, becausee it doesn't suite with with the esper.

SaRDaNaPaLoS_QQ - "Bouncing Lightning"

The idea of sending some lightnings(maybe in this case lightning bolts) to units and then they bounce if hit is a great idea. Also as one is hit it also "purges" the target reducing attack and movement speed for few seconds.

I see this idea interesting and a challenging. The ability is tactical and should be used when there are many units near. You can be sure that I'll at least try to do this for the esper.

Killa - "Thunder Clap"

The idea is excellent for boss fights and also for the esper when it's owned(can also be used for an item or character spell). The idea can be easily edited too. Also the idea has not been used in the campaign before. I think this idea is a perfect.

I didn't quite get this one but why not make it like X and then it spins around? That would be cool.

Divine Seal - Guardian of Thunder

The basic idea is that when a lightning ball is alive the boss will not be harmed. The idea is okay and I haven't used this idea before. I think I'm gonna do something like this for the boss, but I have to little improve the idea little.
