Hero Abilities Info Page

A list of hero abilities made to help the members to build their perfect characters. Some abilities' description is corrected so they will not be the same as the campaign's. There are some calculations that I haven't found out yet so I will update them later. The abilities of summoned units aren't included here.

Maybe make the "buff given" stats in a different colour so they stand out?

Hammer Slam removed after confirmation. The calculations are added but if there is anything wrong just tell me.

Some of the new spells seem underpowered. Or maybe it's because vital info is lacking from the stats at the moment.

For example, Frost Shard vs Magical Hammer. They both do identical damage to one target. Now Frost Shard does 50% damage to targets around, some of the time, while magical hammer does 100% damage all the time, and also burns mana, and it stuns, AND it gives stagger.

Frozen Fang vs Freezing Field. Field does X/10 damage per wave. You channel it for 5 seconds, so I will assume there are 10 waves?

Now compare 100% damage instantly, to 100% damage over 5 seconds of channelling. The instant is definitely better. But Fang also does 25% extra damage if enemy has Bleed, and also gives Brittle for 6 seconds, and also stuns for like 3 seconds or whatever. Field seems pretty underpowered in comparison.

Anyone else agree? And Doom your thread discussing these abilities is closed. Maybe you should have left it open so matters such as this can be discussed. Tbh I notice a LOT of closed threads around these forums..

I don't think they are underpowered at all. Frost Shard indeed does only 50% dmg to enemies around but the aoe is 500, 2.5 times greater than Magical Hammer. Therefore imo the total dmg output of both spells are roughly the same.

About Freezing Field the explosions are created at a rate of 20 per second, for a total of 100 explosions. The aoe of each one is about 180, with the spell aoe approximately 500. Should you be able to place it tactically, enemies will be fried.

Thanks for clearing that up about Freezing Field, I thought it was like Blizzard.. duh!

So Frost Shard has its place too. But at first glance, weigh:

100% damage to all targets every time in a small AOE, stun 2 secs, stagger 4 secs, mana burn

against:

100% damage to one target and 50% in a large AOE some of the time, 2 sec lower cooldown

hmm

And bear in mind that a load of half dead enemies attack harder than fewer fully alive enemies.

Plus it is very easy in this game to make enemies clump so Magical Hammer can hit the lot, select your characters and run in one direction.

EDIT: Take what I am saying with a pinch of salt though, I admit I am completely theorycrafting atm!

Justifiable changes will be made once members begin to put forward their suggestions and/or ideas on balancing the new abilities.
