Hey,

I was thinking one idea: remove all the potions of the campaign.

What do you think about this?

I think it's bad idea. Maybe with give ups it's easy to end the game without using potions, but in my opinion using potions is very situational.
In my opinion they should stay in this campaign.

Using potions is situational and purely dependent on what type of player you are. Potions do help in some situations though like I can think of the ch 7 elite boss. That's one of the only times I can think of when I actually relied a little bit on potions. Other than that, it's not needed for most of the campaign, if not at all. It does have a learning curve though to not use potions, because you're so used to it.

I've managed to not use potions for almost all the time on extreme and I didn't use a give up. So it is very possible. I'm sure I could have managed not to use it at all but I liked the convenience sometimes.

All that being said, I'm not too sure about the other players. It's a touchy situation.
I got two playthroughs now. One on Extreme and ****! Be sure to check them out in the Walkthroughs Sub-Forum.

What do you think about this idea:

There will be totally of 3 different kind of potions and scrolls.

Health Potion - Restores 50% health when used.
Mana Potion - Restores  50% mana when used.
Restoration Potion - Restores 50% health and mana when used.
Health Scroll - Restores 50% health to all friendly units around the Hero when used.
Mana Scroll - Restores 50% mana to all friendly units around the Hero when used.
Restoration Scroll - Restores 50% health and mana to all friendly units around the Hero when used.

First you want to remove potions, now you want to make them stronger? I can now click the potion button twice and have 100% health? Maybe this isn't so bad in chapters 1-3, but eventually, this just ends up making potions a lot stronger in the end. At least, that's how I imagine it. I'm not sure what you're trying to do or why you want to do these changes, but I don't really see how they're beneficial to the campaign.

I think your idea is pretty thoughtless, Aero...(both, the remove potions and the possible new ones). I didn't really need potions after chapter 3 in my second/third play, i can't remember using them after it, but if you are playing ****(the NEW ****) without give ups like me you have to be very patient(or a very awesome player) to play without pots, and i'm not that patient or that awesome so...

THE POTIONS MUST STAY  :o

What about if there's 10 second cooldown when drinking a potion / using a scroll?

Greetings,

if you are playing ****(the NEW ****) without give ups like me you have to be very patient(or a very awesome player) to play without pots, and i'm not that patient or that awesome so...

Then why for would you ever play ****?
Because I can  [-), just kidding, it's just that i like difficult things, well i would beat **** with or without pots, but without pots it would take more time to beat it.

What's bringing about this change to potions? Why are you dissatisfied so much that you don't want to have it in the game anymore? I can't fully say that no potions are needed in the campaign. I always happen to use a potion or two maybe once or twice in the early chapters simply because of panic situations. Even the new suggestion is questionable.

I ask, why do you want to make this change? Maybe if I understood the reason behind why, I could understand. I still am really unsure of why you need to do this. Even I, a person who recommends people to NOT rely on potions still thinks it's a bad idea to completely remove them or make drastic changes.

Because Loonitic17 suggested a change in here and I have somewhat same opinion.

By making the potions more simple, all potions will be useful in the beginning but also in the end. Also the potions will also be more effective if you have a lot of health and no need to drink few potions to heal a character, now 1 potion is enough.

Potions work perfectly as is.

They make sense, potions in all games are only effective if you have potions that are of a decent quality.

Removing them will make beating the elite and epic bosses in chapter 1 all but impossible if you haven't used Give Up. Other chapters are affected as well but that one comes to mind first.

Making potions so strong throughout, ruins the RP element and makes valuation... awkward at best.
