Campaign Rewards

Hey,

I'm just thinking about bonuses when you complete the campaign. Any ideas you got? What kind of rewards you would like to have?

Gold bonus is definitely not an option, for once you reach 100k, you won't be able to spend it all. I would like to be able to pick several abilities from one category (2 heal abilities, 3 AOE abilities, etc) once I have completed the campaign.

Maybe connect it not only with difficulty but also with game points?
Something like lucky box items - easy difficulty with for example 250 game points - and you will get some unique item for the next start of the game if you will decide so - the more points you got and the harder difficulty campaign you finished - more powerful item (but not to ruin the game and evade imba items in the start - such items could become more powerful with the game progress).
For some crazy difficulty and significant amount of game points - some extra cinematic and as addition to the bonus item - open extra quests and bosses in the next start from the beginning - you ones mentioned that you plan to add extra content that will be available only in case of huge amount of game points obtained.

I don't know. I'm not sure.

I don't wanna mix campaign rewards with Game Points.

There are 5 difficulties (except child's play - no bonus for cheating mode OFC) - therefore each difficulty will provide 5 different items with equal starting bonuses but the difference is in the next: each item could be upgraded just by combining it with lesser magic balls (not to increase magic damage only) and for example for the easiest difficulty each upgrade will give +2 stat to main attribute and +1 to each others - for the hardest +10 stat to main and +5 to each other - the idea is like that - it can be not the stat bonuses only but anything you want with the progression of bonus from the easiest to the hardest - therefore you will have a unique item that is flexible and upgraded with a game progress with an increasing effect depending on the difficulty. So, the item won't be overpowered in the start of the game but it can become something significant as far as there are a lot of lesser magic balls throughout the campaign.

That's...difficult. I mean, if it's just another item, it would be pretty simple...a little too simple. If you make the item to be too special, it could wreck with the game's balance (at least, I think so). The one described by True Zozi can be indeed fairly balanced...but seriously, I don't know if I would even use it with this kind of description :P.

Besides...Lesser Magic Ball are used a lot for zozis and quests. And wouldn't a good pack of great magical balls overpower this reward ::)?

So you'll have to decide - upgrade lesser balls to zozis or upgrade the unique bonus item (and wait for Ch.7 to purchase the true zozi).

My next idea is that the bonus itself is a recipe that combine items that you can obtain during the campaign to something really new and powerful (it could combine even old individual items or old sets - I mean combine for example sargatanas and excalibur into Duel Blade item - unique and powerful with both effects from the items and some improvements), so it will avoid the game balance breaking in starting chapters.
For example you've finished the game on hard difficulty and the recipe you receive can be fully combined only in Ch.8, even Omega Set recipe  could be given to combine omega items.
Or it could be "Ultra Upgrade" for already available items - for example you got the "Ultra Francisca recipe" for finishing the game on normal difficulty - it will instantly upgrade the Francisca to the more powerful version (once it will be obtained in Ch.5).
Something like that, the main conditions are:
1. Not imbalanced in the start (so two ways - either upgradable item, or obtainable only in late cahpters).
2. Not to create new complicated systems to avoid possible bugs (either just upgradable item, or just new recipe)
3. Interesting and worth itself (for sure new Legendary or Myth item obtained as a result of bonus for completing the campaign will be interesting).

Just my opinion.

I think it's too much job trying to make already great items even greater. Also the balance can be shaken and don't we have enough problems with item slots?

Here is what I've so far(open for suggestions):

Idea about summoning of "Diablo" is great. What will you get after killing him?
What is the purpose of this "target"? Gold bonus for destroying it?
What about game points? Like as if you got 10000 game points - what exactly you can do with all this game points? And Combat King Mastery - the idea is that you will be able to spend honor points on spellbook upgrades?

"I think it's too much job trying to make already great items even greater. Also the balance can be shaken and don't we have enough problems with item slots?" - in this case you can add special recipe for average items to upgrade it to the new ones. In my opinion it is A LOT OF ITEMS in the campaign, but much of the good individual items not worth to be taken in the inventory in comparison with Set items - therefore I've suggested just something new for upgrading such individually good items. But if you think that it is too much already - I suppose you know much more about the items and sets added in Ch.10 ;D ;D ;D

No idea yet. Open for suggestions.

I think permament stats for a character / characters.

What about game points? Like as if you got 10000 game points - what exactly you can do with all this game points?
For interludes which I'm gonna add in a text format to the campaign. Also the secret ending will be revealed when you have enough.

And Combat King Mastery - the idea is that you will be able to spend honor points on spellbook upgrades?

Maybe that's a bad idea after all... I mean adding combat kings to the beginning of game.

in this case you can add special recipe for average items to upgrade it to the new ones.
