Hey,

- Each category that the player completes will give a special reward. Not sure yet what, but some achievements will be hard to compelete.
- The achievements will be added to the version before full version.

Ok here's a couple of end game ones, pretty obvious ones but it's a starting point:

All digspots
Alchemy level 50
All steal items
All epic bosses
All elite bosses

and a few interesting ones:
No hands: defeat ch 1 main boss only using spell damage (no physical attacks)
Swordmaster: complete a chapter only using physical damage to harm enemies (healing spells, buff spells OK, no damaging spells allowed)
Too good for you: use three espers in one boss battle
Blink and you missed it: kill a boss in under 20 seconds
Godlike: attain over 150000 magic damage
Can't touch this: dodge an attack/target spell that would have killed you using invisibility
Juggernaut: Take 20,000 damage within 3 seconds without dying
Twinkle Toes: Get all 3 characters to 522 movespeed
Dance macabre: Kill 4 enemies with one physical attack (use cleave..)
Twitch reactions: Survive after having less than 1% health (can't get this during Esper Nyrxz battle)
Bow before me: Deal 10000 damage without taking any yourself
Complete idiot: Let a boss heal up 50% of their own HP and defeat them (applies to bosses that can heal - Noc'toriah, Ch2 epic Fradz, Xada, etc)
Your name is Hamza: Complete chapter 8 without dying once

Okay the last one was a joke :D

Anyway, more stuff like that would be cool eh?

Something like:
- Defeat Slurgal without letting anyone die
- Defeat Xada after letting him transform
Quote
Blink and you missed it: kill a boss in under 20 seconds
I can't find any boss with low health enough to down within 20 seconds, unless if you also mean mini-bosses, however, I'm sure that coding this for mini-bosses would be a nightmare if not outright impossible.
Quote
Dance macabre
*Danse
Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead,
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa.

Main Boss Ch 6 in under 20 seconds:

Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raksg9J4pN0&feature=player_detailpage#t=905s
From first hit to death is about 18 seconds, from start of event till death is I think just bordering on 20 seconds.

Thanks for the Danse correction... when I first came across the phrase it was as "dance macabre" and I clearly didn't notice the play on words :)

Why, of course this had to happen... :D

Most of those achievements are of extremity though, why not a bit easier and common achievements as well?

Well anyways, here's something from me... Even though I believe adding achievements to the campaign is possible, if Aero will do it, it's likely to bug at first (and badly).

Move along, Rookie! - Complete the campaign on Child's Play difficulty.
Carry on, Dragon Slayer! - Complete the campaign without using any give-ups. (Disabled on Child's Play)
All-round Artisan - Complete a chapter without spending any gold.
Belief in Individualism - During your gameplay career, don't complete any sort of item sets.
The Pathfinder - In chapter 4, make your way through the cave maze without choosing a wrong path a single time.
Basement Story - Find a way to get into the basement in chapter 5.
Suicide Artist - Die 10 times or more during a single chapter.
Touch of Nails - Get yourself killed by the damage reflected from your normal attacks.
Transportation Traffic - In chapter 2, use the teleports more than 10 times.

Just a Legend? - Fail to reach the Omega Monster in chapter 3.
Pickpocketing Disaster - Fail to steal an item (from an enemy that has something to steal) 20 times in a row from a single enemy (assuming you have more than 0.1% chance to succesfully steal after enemy's steal resistance).
Shines like a Desert Sun - Acquire a legendary item.

Ahh those ones are excellent Flecky, just what we need. A nice mix of regular and **** type of achievements that will enhance the game experience for everyone, and give it a nice bit of longevity.

Good stuff.

Essentially impossible to code, horribly typo'd and all in all a terrible joke.  :P

A good one, I think mine has crashed about 8 times so far so I'm close :D

Inexplicable crashes that make little sense... memory leaks I presume

Memory leaks doesn't crash the game. It just slows the process.

I don't want boring Archievements. I put the Archievemnts to "spell books" in Game Panel. So 11 specialities per category or something. We also have to create category names here.

Professions
Battle
Slayer
Items
...

Lightning - Kill a boss within 10 seconds.
Damage - Deal over 10,000 damage.
Twinkle Toes - Get all 3 characters to 522 movespeed
Immortal - Complete a chapter without any death.
Master Alchemist - Obtain Alchemy level 50.
Master Thief - Steal 50 items.
Master Digger - Dig 50 items.
Dragon Slayer - Defeat all Elite and Epic bosses.
Master Slayer - Defeat all Elite and Epic bosses at **** difficulty.
Myth - Obatain a Myth item.
Hunter - Kill at least 10,000 enemies
Gold - Obtain 999,999 gold
Story Hunter - Obtain all books
Correct - Answer all Riddle Questions correct in a chapter
Optional Quests - Complete all the optional quests
Good - A good ending at the end
Bad - A bad ending at the end
Secret Ending - Have seen the secret ending
Game Points - Have gathered over 100,000 Game Points
Esper Master - Have acquired all espers
Puzzle Master - Have solved all puzzles in all chapters

I need some better title names and grammar fixes. These I've chosen so far.

If a program tries to access memory not within its bounds the program crashes. Memory leaks dude.

Windows doesn't allow that shiz, and for good reason - you could disrupt other programs and cause all sorts of problems.

I don't want boring Archievements.

Oh BLOODY HELL, you don't want boring achievements, yet you only "chose" clich?d ones instead of something that's at least uncommon (except for the "Twinkle Toes" maybe). Why are you even asking for ideas when all you want is the basic crap? I mean yeah, you do need the basic achievements every other game has, but why do you freaking leave it there? Where's TCO's own touch? Nowhere right now, at least.

I can see now why you asked for these ideas here and not in the Hiveworkshop... How disappointing, really. Thanks for wasting some time again.

Regarding the memory leaks, yes, the more memory is leaked, the more possible it is for the program to crash. And if (although it's very rare) it somehow reaches high enough via either one or more programs (total memory usage), your whole PC might just crash as well.
