Correct - Answer all Riddle Questions correct in a chapter

Isn't this achievement a bit too easy? There's only 3 questions in a chapter. Rather it be answering all riddle questions correctly in X chapters

Oh BLOODY HELL, you don't want boring achievements, yet you only "chose" clich?d ones instead of something that's at least uncommon (except for the "Twinkle Toes" maybe). Why are you even asking for ideas when all you want is the basic crap? I mean yeah, you do need the basic achievements every other game has, but why do you freaking leave it there? Where's TCO's own touch? Nowhere right now, at least.
Okay, well I think we will have some boring achievements. ^^

Few examples:

Move along, Rookie! - Complete the campaign on Child's Play difficulty.
We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these.

The Pathfinder - In chapter 4, make your way through the cave maze without choosing a wrong path a single time.
I don't see this very interesting achievement. If I would see such a achievement it gives me a bad feeling about the dungeon; I want to travel where I want and how I want.

Suicide Artist - Die 10 times or more during a single chapter.
This is unique idea, but it is really bad idea.

Touch of Nails - Get yourself killed by the damage reflected from your normal attacks.
Like I could even create this.

Transportation Traffic - In chapter 2, use the teleports more than 10 times.
Just... Why?

Just a Legend? - Fail to reach the Omega Monster in chapter 3.
Eeeh, why I would want to complete such an achievement.

Pickpocketing Disaster - Fail to steal an item (from an enemy that has something to steal) 20 times in a row from a single enemy (assuming you have more than 0.1% chance to succesfully steal after enemy's steal resistance).
Yea, right. Just right. No.

Well since "your" achievements (of which you couldn't even come up by yourself) are so extraordinaire, let's take a few examples of them as well:

Lightning - Kill a boss within 10 seconds.

Requires a little farming through the campaign to achieve.

Hunter - Kill at least 10,000 enemies

"We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these."

+ It requires farming.

Gold - Obtain 999,999 gold

"We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these."

+ It requires farming.

Game Points - Have gathered over 100,000 Game Points

"We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these."

+ It requires farming.

Master Alchemist - Obtain Alchemy level 50.

"We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these."

Dragon Slayer - Defeat all Elite and Epic bosses.
Master Slayer - Defeat all Elite and Epic bosses at **** difficulty.

"We don't need achievements like this because we have multiboard showing these."

A fitting description for an achievement would probably be "to accomplish of something uncommon", i.e. a hilarious death by reflected damage, not "to accomplish something positive" solely. Having "negative" achievements doesn't mean they're discouraging, it's just to bring opportunities.

And as far as I can see (and what I showed in the examples), your only way to keep people playing the campaign is to make it farmed like it was 999; it's despicable, the game (campaign) ITSELF should be interesting enough, instead of having to limit some content behind unreasonable farming.

Aren't you going to show the achievements on the multiboard so people can judge their progress anyway? And will you need to do all the achievements in one playthrough because they reset from prologue? That's pretty bad, because the game is so based around give-ups and playing multiple times.

Achievements should be challenging and interesting. Dodging an attack by going invisible is interesting and challenging. Missing 20 steals is funny but boring as heck and is a massive grind.

Flecky's suggestions are more interesting and unusual, some of them at least. Admittedly some are pretty ridiculous.

Aero's are pretty boring and really standard, it's not really challenging or fun to obtain 999,999 gold.

Depends what sort of system you want really.

Instead of protecting your own ideas, you do something else. Interesting.

Anyway, you're right with your second quote but all other quetes, nope.

And what then if it needs farming? I don't mind.

Aren't you going to show the achievements on the multiboard so people can judge their progress anyway?

Hmm. I was thinking Game Panel but multiboard would be good too. Not really sure yet where to show them.

I'm fine with both ways, but I don't like things like "fail 20 times row".

It requires farming.
'Grinding' fits better.
Quote
And what then if it needs farming? I don't mind.
But we do. As I said, these achievements require grinding, and nobody likes grinding.
Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead,
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa.

Instead of protecting your own ideas, you do something else. Interesting.

Protect against what? "Just... Why?" or "Yea, right. Just right. No." or what? All that is just AIR.

Anyway, you're right with your second quote but all other quetes, nope.

And please explain further instead of just a simple "nope"? Pretty please?

And what then if it needs farming? I don't mind.

Of course you don't mind, vice versa, you really embrace it since it forces some enthusiastics to repeat the campaign over and over to acquire 100% of the content. But for someone who seeks for unique ideas and such, forcing them to replay for more gold or stuff like that is just plain dull. You must've had the luck of not playing any games with uninspiring farming included in them, else you'd understand why.

I'm fine with both ways, but I don't like things like "fail 20 times row".

So are you fine with both ways or not? Come on, if it was "fail 1 time" (to be sufficient enough for you), where would be the uncommon part? The number would either be too low to be uncommon or too high to be acceptable in your eyes. Or then you simply just don't want "negative" achievements, should you see them discouraging or anything, I don't know, but for some reason anyways.

Instead of arguing I want more ideas.

Instead of rejecting ideas with a simple "nope", learn to explain why.

If you think some of your ideas were good enough and I didn't add them to list say say what and I can rethink if they're good enough.

Firstly remove or reduce the achievements about 999,999 gold because with the current state of 5k limit per riddle question it is impossible to get there without about 20 give ups. It may have been OK before the 5K limit though.

Suicide Artist (die 10 times or more in one chapter) should be included.

About The Pathfinder (get through maze perfectly in chapter 4) I think it should be included. The argument against was that it makes it stressful, you should want to relax and go where you like. But that isn't the case because it's not like you have to get through perfectly EVERY time. Just do it once and get on with the game, achievement accomplished, you can relax as much as you like right?

Dragon Slayer and Master Slayer are alright.

Keep all heroes HP and mana above 50% in a chapter sounds alright to me :)

Finishing campaign without using a single honor point is also a good one.

These two are pretty much compulsory:
- Defeat Slurgal without letting anyone die
- Defeat Xada after letting him transform
so that people have an idea of the rewards, because if this forum didn't exist I would never have guessed either of those.

I also think these should be included:
Bow before me: Deal 10000 damage without taking any yourself
Complete idiot: Let a boss heal up 50% of their own HP and defeat them (applies to bosses that can heal - Noc'toriah, Ch2 epic Fradz, Xada, etc)
Juggernaut: Take 20,000 damage within 3 seconds without dying
Godlike: attain over 150000 magic damage

And something similar to this:
No hands: defeat ch 1 main boss only using spell damage (no physical attacks)

Okay I'll read all the suggestions again next week when I've some spare time at the school with a total new way.

But how would you like to see the archievements, from Multiboard or Game Panel?

?_? Sometimes I wish I could speak like you, hamza.

Anyways, I'm gonna try one more time by suggesting more, at the moment it just feels so hopeless.

Sought Them Both - Defeat both Khutzi and Nhutzi in chapter 2.
Meeting Destinies - Find the Black-hooded Man in chapter 1 before the normal boss fight.
Storm, Frost and Fire - Have all the 3 Dragon Slayers cast a damage spell to an enemy in a row, in less than 8 seconds.
Termination - Kill the same enemy 5 times in a row once it has resurrected.

Also rename suggestions for chosen achievements:

Story Hunter -> Encyclopedia of Oelivert History
Hunter -> Man vs. Environment (refer to PvE)
Secret Ending -> Director's Vision

If we're going to use Multiboard we won't have any descriptions, only names.

If Game Panel, we have to find icons and create the descriptions.

Thanks Flecky :D

I would prefer multiboard for speed of viewing, you can see at one glance exactly which achievements are remaining/done etc.

Best idea is to do both, have the description for achievements in the game panel so people know about it, and just have a list of them with the completed ones marked, on the multiboard.
