Ability Improvements

Hello.

I'm probably going to a little improvement to abilities if everything goes well. When ability hits lvl 10 and 20(lvl 20 is maximum) a special bonus will be given for the ability(ultimate abilities doesn't have this bonus?). The bonus is different in every ability.

What do you think of this idea?


PHODOM

Impact Flare

Master Bonus - Reduces the mana cost by 150 and the cooldown by 2 second.
Grandmaster Bonus - The stun lasts 1 second more and the mana cost is reduced by another 150.

Meltdown

Master Bonus - Armor reduction is increased by 10 and and it lasts 5 seconds longer.
Grandmaster Bonus - Armor reduction is increased by another 10 and the armor reduction lasts 10 second more.

Aura Of Fire

Master Bonus - Increases the damage done by 25% and the chance to hit back by 10%.
Grandmaster Bonus - Increases the chance to hit back by 10% the effect stuns for 1 second and deals bonus damage based on strength: strx3.

Fire Mastery

Master Bonus -
Grandmaster Bonus -

Summon Fire Element

Master Bonus - Reduced cast time by 1 second.
Grandmaster Bonus - No cast time.

Flame Explosion

Master Bonus - The enemies continue to burn for 3 seconds dealing 10% of the damage done per seond and their attack damages are reduced by 15%.
Grandmaster Bonus - The enemies continue to burn for 6 seconds dealing 10% of the damage done per seond and their attack damages are reduced by 30.

Ground Zero

Master Bonus - While burning, enemies will receive additional 15% damage from basic attacks.
Grandmaster Bonus - While burning, enemies will receive additional 30% damage from basic attacks.

Shield Of Fire

Master Bonus - First two seconds the shield gives plus 1000 armor.
Grandmaster Bonus -  First four seconds the shield gives plus 1000 armor.

Heaven's Bless
Chaotic Rift
Phoenix Combo

Master Bonus -  After landing Phodom deals additional damage(strx5), the enemies are knock backed and stunned for 3 seconds.

FRADZ


Discharge
Thunder

Master Bonus - Also stuns for 0,5 sec and the attack and movement speed are reduced by 5 more.
Grandmaster Bonus -  Also stuns for 1 sec and the attack and movement speed are reduced by 5 more.

Shock

Master Bonus - Cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.
Grandmaster Bonus -  Cooldown is reduced by another 2 seconds.

Lightning Attack -

Master Bonus - Increases the chance to hit by 5%.
Grandmaster Bonus -  Increases the chance to hit by 5%.

Invisible Strike

Master Bonus - Every 1 level under Fradz's level gives 5% chances to instantly kill an enemy unit.
Grandmaster Bonus -  Deals 15 extra damage per level of Fradz.

Lightning Mastery Mastery
Flash Strike
Lightning Storm

Master Bonus[/u] - Increases the area of effect by 150 and the damage by 15%.
Grandmaster Bonus[/u] - Increases the area of effect by another 150 and the damage by another 15%.


Flash Strike

Master Bonus[/u] - Increases the hits from 4 to 5 and decreases the cooldown from 20 to 18 seconds
Grandmaster Bonus[/u] - Increases the hits from 6 to 7 and decreases the cooldown from 18 to 16 seconds

Energy Ball

Master Bonus - Heals now 66% of the maximum hit points.
Grandmaster Bonus - Fully heals Fradz.

Hydro Shield

Master Bonus - Decreases the cooldown by 2 sec and gives 25% additional damage.
Grandmaster Bonus -

Blessing of Lightning
Speedy Boost
Lightning Orb

Teleport Strike

Master Bonus - No more mana cost, gives 3 additional hits and Fradz's hit points and mana are fully restored after the ability is used.

Ice Bolt

Master Bonus - Decreases cooldown by 2 seconds and extra damage deals 25% bonus.
Grandmaster Bonus -

Magical Hammer

Master Bonus - Every 1 level under Galeoth's level givess 5% chance to instantly kill an enemy unit.
Grandmaster Bonus -

Piercing shard

Master Bonus - Maximum range bonus increased by 25%.
Grandmaster Bonus - Maximum range bonus increased by another 25%.

Ice Mastery
Summon Ice Element

Master Bonus -
Grandmaster Bonus - 25% chance that instead of one two Ice Elements are summoned.

Mesmerizing ice crystal


Master Bonus - Gains plus 10 armor.
Grandmaster Bonus -

Frozen Fang

Master Bonus - The stun lasts 0,5 second longer and deals 15% more damage.
Grandmaster Bonus - The stun lasts another 0,5 second longer and deals another 15% more damage.

Glacial Ball

Master Bonus - When the ball explodes also stuns enemies for 1 second.
Grandmaster Bonus - When the ball explodes also stuns enemies for 2 seconds.

Glacial Armor

Master Bonus - Additionally increases the armor by 5.
Grandmaster Bonus - Additionally increases the armor by another 5.

Frozen Paradise

25% extra damage.



Northrend Winds

Master Bonus - Heals nearby friendly units as well.

Okay I updated the first post start to throw ideas for abilities' bonuses. They should be "strongly linked to the abilities".

So the bonus will be given 10 and 20 or 5, 10, 15 and 20?

I am not really hot about that. I mean, it's better to improve the skill gradually. For meltdown, you can increase by 1 the armor reduction each lvl.

Something you can do is. In the last lvl, Increase a lot an ability for 2 or 3 points. It is more balanced.

I actually forget to tell why I'm thinking about this. The reason is that some guys told me it's just better to improve the "Master" abilities instead of leveling up the abilities itself because then the mana cost increases. When just improving the Master Abilities they only increases the damage but doesn't increase the mana cost of other abilities.

And yes, I can increase the Meltdown's armor reduction by per lvl. I'm not 100% sure if I'll do this new thing, it's up to you guys. What do you think? Your honest opinion is needed.

Hm... maybe instead of improving the effects the skill already has, put a better effect for Lv 10 and 20. These new effects would make ability useful of leveling up and the increased mana cost.

Maybe for Meltdow... make this ability area effect (for crowd control) or give it a powerfull stun. Don't know. I'm not the criative guy, I only do the critics  ;)

To be honest, i love it. It's like the abilities lvl up gradually and up to certain levels, it evolves to new level, a lot stronger.
The mana cost is really a problem in early chapter, i tried Hydro Shell on Fradz and it costs huge amount of mana  :o
If u want idea, i actually hav to play prologue again to c exactly effects of every ability   ;)

How about this?
Heaven's Bless and Shield of Fire.

When used, there will be a chance for Phodom to heal another random unit (not enemy of course)

Or maybe when Phodom use either of this spell, he will instantly AOE heal nearby units. (Like the Mekansm in Dota)

I think adding new powers to abilities when you hit higher ranks is the way to go. For example reducing the cooldown of certain moves might well be a Very strong incentive to level abilities. I would say do it on a case by case some you might strengthen (not that armor reduction, that part seems weak to me now that armor is a lot weaker), some you might reduce cooldown, give a mana discounr, or add whole new powers that would make sense as an evolution of the power.

I would like to see lightning storm maybe at level 10 reducing damage taken from melee attacks by like 50% and level 10 and 100% at level 20 for the duration of the power.

P.S. This is more of a suggestion than a bug so I thought here is as good a place as any to put it. Flash Strike does spell damage right now I think? It really should do your melee damage, simple way to do that would be to set your melee damage avg as a variable and set that as your damage for each hit on the flash strike. It would make the move feel a bit more like it is intended.

I like the shield of fire before which was used in generation, with the same Hp heal, it's better to tank
and for the improvements, SOF will bonus 9999 armor at 10 20 level with 2-4 seconds
And the hammer skill of Galeoth, it should be area skills and for improvement, deadly hammer which can kill immediately with 1-2% not effect with boss and only with lower monster level
For the energy ball of Frad, the improvement may be the blast when the energy ball reaches the end of its movement: deal dam and stun a little
For the Ice Bolt, the improvement may be only decrease cd
I like your idea, but now i only have some ideas like that. However, If you do it, you should make all abilities, it seems to be hard work man. Now they are all still working well.

I updated some. You had great ideas! I just didn't like Energy Ball's improvement because it's hard to aim... More ideas are welcome!
