Mana to zero before killing them.

Im trying to get their Mana to zero but the best i can do with all my honor points left spend on Mana kill, using Mana Seeker ( which doesnt work , at least seems so) , and stopping regeneration with orb is to get one down to about 2000 Mana.... i try not to use any magical damage, i tried with each character alone, with 2 combined or with all 3. never gotten lower than 2000 with Fradz and Galeoths.
Any Hint , tipp or trick i could use?
