1.8f Bug Masterthread

Read before post:
    • Aeroblyctos only reads the first post to gather bugs(if unclear, then there might be questions)
    • Post your ideas to here!
    • Post your feedback to here!!
    • Hamza is the one who puts all the bugs to the first post


    Information about bugs:

      • The game crashes
      • Something isn't saved/loaded correctly
      • If you see an item with "BANNED" text
      • Boss is doing nothing, except attacking(all bosses have at least something)
      • Enemy doesn't give experience(every enemy should give experience)
      • Enemy doesn't give gold(exception: some bosses won't give and all respawning units won't give -> ALL BOSSES SHOULD GIVE GOLD!!)
      • Something wrong with item description(colors wrong for example)
      • There's an enemy unit that respawns and you can gain gold from it(you shouldn't be able to "grind" in this game)
      • Grammar error(about anywhere)
      • Music is not playing or two songs at once
      • An intelligent passive unit isn't talking back to you(floating text)
      • Item or ability doesn't do what it should
      • An enemy does something when stunned


      Bugs in red are important/gamebreaking

      Feel free to test these bugs in game, as they are confirmed fixed they will be moved to the Fixed section below. The purpose of this list is to hold those bugs Aero believes he has dealt with but haven't yet been tested, to free up the Pending list to only include bugs Aero needs to look at

      Bugs that are fixed in Aero's latest version (probably not the version uploaded to the public) and have been tested properly. If you see a bug but it is marked here as fixed, most likely it has been sorted but feel free flag it up anyway.

      I think the correct is editing the 1.8 masterthread instead of making another one. Whatever, your organization is quite something.

      A bug in Ch8. The boss is absolutely unkillable!!! His health goes down to 1, then his mana goes down to 1, but he never dies! I have magic torment combat king on Galeoth, but still nothing works!

      chapter 2:
      -Fradz lightning elemental skill isnt shown/can't be skilled
      -dig spot between the two camps, it says' found low magic ball' but actually u find magic orb.

      Elite Boss 4 is still bugged. He channels, summons one treant and then channels infinetely. Also, when he does another type of channel, he slams the ground to no effect, perhaps there were shockwaves there or whatsoever.

      Hamza, is the upper-left part of the screen green? Then yes, this version. Yeah, another bug: life's stone doesn't craft. I get all the components, but it doesn't craft.

      Hey all,

      Regarding the power hammer bug, I think the bug works like this:

      1. 1 dmg is added only when the no. of charges is even and greater than or equal to 4. This means that when the charge is 2, there is no dmg added; when the charge is 4, only one dmg is added and not 2 and so forth.

      2. When the charge reaches 20, all accumulated dmg are negated and the dmg count resets from 0. Then, the problem in 1. repeats here.

      Also, the epic boss fight in chapt 1 is buggy. When I came close to the entrance, several options popped out. So I pressed the last option, which is "I need to go now" However, that lead me straight to the epic boss fight! I didnt even got the chance to save. Needlessly to say, I lost the fight.

      Using latest 1.8b I found these bugs:

      - Magic torment bonus damage (based of character max mana is not working) - Galeoth with 1000 mana pool and Magic torment lvl 5 should deal plus 500 dmg to unit without mana - after I hit unit lost life coresponding to my base dmg reduced by unit armor - definitely less then 200 (Have tested 1.8 and 1.8a - not working here aswell)
      - Orb of magic sold in chapter 3 has written in description: Basic attacks deal an extra 10% of wielder's max mana in damage. This is also not working. This item is clickable, not sure what it is supposed to do after activation.
      - Battlemage cuirass should freeze attacking unit for 3 second once in 90 second - have never seen that occur
      - After purchasing glacial ricochet speel and reading it, text "You have upgraded Frost Armature" appers
      Spell is added to Spellbook, but does nothing after casting on enemy unit (global cooldown and spell cooldown are correctly triggers)
      - Hotkeys in spellbook are not working - at least for Frost Armature and glacial Ricochet.

      - this last one is of different kind, 2 ghost shops (one is normal, one is instead of currently removed spell upgrader) with same inventory appear in chapter 3 after acquiring magic orb

      playing 1.8a

      mission 2:
      -I found the ellite boss harder than the epic boss

      mission 3:
      - say puzzle 1/3 i clean all the map. I think the 3 puzzle is the 3 on the epic boss?

      mission 4:
      - Phodom have +10armor from nowhere
      - Murlock mini boss, when steal give Poison knife, when kill give Poison knife too (maybe it's normal)
      - Poison knife description : "An item set" when in inventory, is only a rare item not an item set.
      - The dig spot, mid bot of the map, when dig say "You found ." and it doesn't lie, no item ><
      - Elite boss(the tree) at his second root he stay invulnerable, after 1min to wait, i load a save ... Second try he blocks at the first root.... 3try, the same he blocks at the thrid root.
      When he bugs et don't attack when root. I think that bug when he summons treant in the same time as root.
      (allready report)
      - Kasvalti isn't invulnerable. He goes back when click on him else he stays. I kill him with my fire element (drop nothing :) )


      playing 1.8b

      chapter 5
      - Flowers 26/25
      - The teleport near monster who look like Ursa. Whe i walk on the teleport. I have the message who say they are desactivated (still not do quest). But i ve been teleport near the lucky box.
      Taking the teleport near lucky box teleport me back.

      chapter 6
      - Gate can be all destroy, don't need key :)
      - "Boss point (banned)" on dark messiah. And the image of the boss doesn't disapear
      - "You found ." on the 1/4 left width and mid height spot
      - Rebellion leader isn't invulnerable (every neutral unit witch i kill don't drop anything !)
      - Can't do Elite quest. He ask for 10 honor point (have 43) and 30fire heart, i ve 33. So i farm a stack of 30 fire heart and still not work... When click on him he say "Brind ..." i think it's "bring" (with my bad english maybe not xD)
      - Xada is a "superior" ennemy, i think "Scythe of annihilation" kill him (don't try, item was on fratz)
      - Forgotton quest, need change the cinematik, he ask for a potion of mana and a elixir. (Quest don't work. )
      - I make bug the deathless puzzle. they just stay 3 deathless 1blue, and 1 red, 1 orange. I think by searching i kill 2 on same time. And now, can't finish it :)
      - Have vision where the both executionner die
      - Gaeloth have half less vision range than the 2 other hero
      - No time to loot the steal during the last fight, and take item from Xada, must do it on fight
      - Main quest 5/6, the next chapter load alone. On other chapter, we have to press "ESC" for go on the next chapter


      playing 1.8c
      Chapter 7 :
      - Doesn't have the star for "epic boss 6" in the multiboard
      - Gaeloth has +2000dmg from nowhere
      - Fratz has +10 armor from nowhere
      6 Gqeloth hqs q bqd vision rqnge
      - I start to visit, i find the "Explode minigame" i lost it. and Fratz is block in front of the PNJ, when try to run out, the dialog strat and fratz is put in front on him. The only way i find to deblock, is to win the minigame, then no more dialog.
      - Can't steal any boss -> "Stealing failed" every time. (182% steal chance)
      I think the message is bug, it must write "Cannot steal from the target" cause when i drop all my steal item allways have "Stealing failed".
      - Tower minigame: Shortcut are bad (i prefer q/w/e/r/t).
      I loose round 2,I retry after 5sec they say "round 3". I ve the message "Your life : 2" then the dialog "loosers" and i have the battlemage set. (Will rety it tonight)
      -I confirm for tower minigame : When loose we start back at round 1. After 5-10sec the round change 2-3-4...
      - Galeoth have back the bug +2000dmg (during 1min). Now he has +59armor from nowhere
      - During the lich fight (portal on graveyard), he summons portal. After destroy portal foe doesn't stop to summon....
      - 2 item name "=== Chapter 1 lucky box  ===" on shop.
      - Shadow Set describe are right in the recipe. In the item is only 100% steal chance (120%)
      - I find the boss golem harder than elite and epic boss. Or maybe it's a bug, is normal he still attack and replenish full life when he summons the circle of golem? Then, i can't do it without use the scythe (is a superior foe)
      - Doesn't have the 2 star from elite and epic boss on multiboard.
      - Epic quest isn't "complete" after beat the boss
      - Quest Medicine ask for an "elixir" can't find.
      - Can't finish optional quest "Holgro" (only find 1part at shop). Can't finish "Maximilian" (only find damned mask forthe damned set) Maybe i miss something.
      - The next chapter load alone. On other chapter, we have to press "ESC" for go on the next chapter



      chapter 5-6-7-8  (maybe cause i start the game on 1.8)
      - Phodom still have +10armor,  Fratz still don't have his element ability (summon elemental)


      Suggestion :
      - "Scythe of annihilation" The proc is very op.
      - Vampire Lord has a spell who hit hard. I ve seen my hero with a sort of an aura, and the life decrease very fast. Moving far the boss stop the life decrease.
      The spell isn't easy to see. i suggest you make him life drain. A canalised spell then we will see easier.(and who is focus)
      - Chapter 5 :
      DoomLord (from portal) when he strats to flee the fight. I think you must make him move slower, take out collision, and make him stop using his spell.



      Other :
      - Crown of magic description is +8000 mana, in fact is only +800
      - No time for skip cinematic at end chapter 4, begin chapter 5, begin chapter 6

      Item set whitch is write ItemSet 1/3 (whith no name set)
      - Left/Right Vampire fang
      - Qzochs left/right

      Many set item has the description "ItemSet 1/2" and don't know the name of the set. Can be confusing.
      for example : "First sion" "Sword of night" "Trinket of rightneousness"

      This isn't a bug, but rather a balancing issue. Also, how you responded to the tactics of these bosses affects how hard or easy they're in comparison to each other. And as such, when I did a run for these two bosses today, I found epic boss harder than elite boss.

      Furthermore, the bug "green text on all menus" is non-existant in version 1.8b.

      I don't know wether it's an old bug or not, but chapter 1 epic boss sometimes channels nothing for about 7 seconds while being invulnerable, then resumes back to fighting.

      It's funny that in chapter 2 after i solved the obelisk puzzle, my wc3 just keeping crash all the time (fatal error), i'll try with the 1.8c to check if something happen

      Have the same problem with obelisk, doing it fast, and the game don't crash
